With the sport growing at such a fast pace, and Dana White looking to bring UFC to more Canadian cities, do you think he will ever consider bringing the big show to Winnipeg?

Knowing the possible record breaking attendance that could be set in Toronto come April,  I believe the promotion of bringing UFC to Canada will be to see how much money can be made over the want and need of the fan.

It only makes sense to go with the larger cities to sell the show but now that they have, do you think it would be taking a step backward to and bring the show to a smaller venue like the MTS center?  I realize capacity for MTS is 16,000 standing,  but not knowing the outcome of ticket sells, I believe, would hinder the possiblilty.

I know there are a lot of UFC fans in Manitoba but would it be worth making the trip for Dana?

Just putting it out there to hear thoughts from others.

They are definately going to come here to put on a Fight Night card but it doesn't sound like it will be in 2011.  They are concentrating on the bigger cities with Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver for this year.

Should be some exciting times for Canadian MMA in the next few years!

Last fall, Tom Wright said in newspaper interviews that smaller cities like Winnipeg, Halifax, Hamilton may have Fight Nights by the end of the year.

Lately there is more talk about 2012 being the year it comes.

This would be great!  With how international the UFC is getting, I'm pretty sure there is little chance the 'Peg will ever see a pay-per-view, but I would settle for a K-SOS headliner, with an "El Dirte" undercard.  I recently read a couple articles that point out that per capita, Canada has way more fans of MMA than the States does.  Interesting stuff.
