Alex Ricci, Albert Cheng, Misha, Steve Simms, Igor Caetano, Shane Campbell, Peter Montrait off the top of my head.

Saw a couple awesome first timers in Victoria, gonna go back through my notes…. have notes on 15 or 20 new guys across Canada that I've seen/called fights with….

Levis Labrie (1-0) vs Albert Cheng (1-0) comin up at WRECK. 2 good prospects.

also at WRECK, Peter Montrait (1-0) vs Alka Matewa (2-0)

There's 20 or more top guys to watch with under 3 fights across Canada. 2011 gonna be sick.

Campbell has 4 fights so he is off the list.  Still a stud though.

Shane Campbell 4-0- Honestly, I think that is a Sherdog mistake. I think the 2 IMMA fights in 2008 were Muay Thai fights that were reported wrong. I think he's 2-0 in MMA. And 1286-15 or so in Muay Thai.

Ooops, Cheng vs Labrie is at Ringside- Rising Star in mid January, not at WRECK.

Montrait Matewa is ta Wreck.

Still, 2 fights with prospect vs prospect comin up in Quebec.

Soon, a huge percentage of fights involving newer guys will be prospect vs prospect. With this many talented guys comin up, if your prospect wants to fight cans there will be no need for promoters to book that fight. He will book young talents who are willing to fight other young talents.

In 2 years we also won't see a lot of guys start out at 9-0. They will have to fight tough fights from day 1.

I was waiting for Jason to show up and mention the King !

As for Ion Cherdivara, do you think he is a top prospect because he is fighting on Strikeforce Challengers or because he has beaten an 0-2 guy?  I have a hard time rating him based on my knowledge of his pro fights.

Ive met and seen Ion train a few times and he has some real good wrestling! He trains with Fabio and BTT Canada so he is around some real good coaches and real good guys. Hes  originally from Jordan or some small town near there….hes tough as hell from what ive seen and i saw his first fight….his oponent was nothing special but and not a major factor as to why hes on my up and commers list! There was just something about him!

I know he is 0-2 but I am throwing Matt Northcott on this list.  He could have finished Garcia in that fight.

Albert Cheng vs Levi Labrie is off, but another prospect has stepped up.

Albert Cheng vs Taylor Solomon at Ringside: Rising Star.

Great fight.

Ha you have Albert Cheng at  7 and 12.  Are there two Albert Chengs now?

Watch out for Mike Reilly. He is fighting our beloved Mister Black on the 28th. I know he didn't look fantastic in the Ebejer fight, but his amateur bouts were really something. He was composed, had great gas, and looked decent at everything.

And he is self-deprecating and a tad eccentric.

I'm looking forward to competing with young Mr. Reilly. Should be fun.
