Leading up to MFC shows over the past few years, The Z-Files takes an in-depth look at the card, the fighters themselves, and the ramifications of each bout, all leading to the Top 10 Questions.

And in the past year, following each show The Z-Files has expanded its review and added in a rundown of notes, quotes, and fallout. These are not necessarily answers to the Top 10 Questions that were posed coming into the event, but some insight into what happened and what’s in store in the future based upon the results.

So coming out of MFC 27:

"clear-headed" Jimmo.
"lackluster showings of David Heath and Dwayne Lewis"
"Ford clearly lost Round 1 to Pete Spratt"
"Let’s not forget that (Kajan Johnson) is merely 2-1 in his last three fights"
"David Heath and Tom Watson – both are coming off disappointments"

MFC sure has a weird way of promoting fighters ever since Jimmo was lacklustre against Eastman. MFC has great fighters and the best roster in Canada, but they seem to dampen any positives that their fighters achieve. This article is pretty negative aside from the Lima brothers who look like the 2nd coming of the Diaz brothers (I stole that from someone-can't remember who) and Jucao vs High which would be a nice fight but who knows if either is on the roster yet.

The article has no mention:
* that Jimmo won 13 in a row.
* Kajan is 2-1 in his last three but 11-2-1 in his last 14. The guy was DOMINANT at MFC 27. Why get annoyed that he is calling for a title shot?
* Lewis won a tight decision and is 9-1 in his last 10! Impressive stuff. Again not mentioned.
* Brad Cardinal continuing his winning ways.

I don't understand the marketting techniques…. I just don't get it.

I've reccommended a match-up between Gavin Neil and Kajan and Pav said that fight isn't big enough for the MFC anymore. I just don't understand, maybe I am too small time at this point to get it, but that fight would be very marketable, makes sense in the MFC lightweight div and would be awesome if shown in BC.

This stuff confuses me.

I would love to see that, get a Canadian #1 contender for title out of that fight.

I thought it was a great possible match-up.

I suppose there is no international flare to it, maybe that's what he means by "not big enough". but it's an awesome match-up.

I have also never seen Jimmo without a clear head…. ever… even when fighting, or when actually pissed off about something, he maintains self control at all times as a true martial artist does.

I think MFC needs to do some internation shiz, maybe move the show around a bit before considering top Canadian talent and wicked Canadian match-ups not big enough.

Robin Black thought it was a good article.
