Just in case Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal battling for the “BMF” Belt wasn’t enough to get you excited for UFC 244 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. UFC officials have now confirmed a Featherweight matchup between rising prospects “Mean” Hakeem Dawodu and Julio Arce for the card.

Dawodu enters the bout riding a three fight winning streak after dropping his UFC debut via quick submission to Danny Roberts. The Champions Creed product then rattled off three straight wins and most recently scored a highlight reel head kick that also earned him a 50k Performance of the Night bonus. Prior to signing with the UFC, Dawodu went unbeaten in his first 8 career fights, all with WSOF and WSOF Canada.

Arce holds a 3-1 record inside the Octagon and most recently scored a head kick KO against Julian Erosa at UFC Fight Night 152 in May. Overall Arce sports a 16-3 record as a pro as well as an unblemished amateur record of 11-0.
