Campbell’s fight should still be a title fight. The fighter that weighs in over, if he wins, the belt is declared vacant, The fighter that came in on weight, if he wins, is the champ. Why penalize a fighter that makes weight?? This is done continually in boxing and is the only proper decision.

If the challenger doesn’t make weight the title isn’t up for grabs anyway. I’m sure Shaolin is getting the exact same pay he would have gotten (possibly a percentage of Abella’s) He’s not really being punished.

If Abella wins, maybe they rematch and he has another chance at being a professional and making weight (Like Dom Steele did this time, exact same scenario)

Talk about blowing the opportunity of a lifetime!

I never understood why Abella is even getting a title shot

Shane has already beat up both of Abella’s teamates, Beaumont and Scarcello who are both way better than him

I guess Sunny wants Shane to roll through the entire Hayabusa LW roster. Who’s next, Spisak lol

Shane shouldnt even be beating up local edmonton fighters to begin with, guy is awesome, should be in Bellator or something

    Well-loved! Thumb up 12 Thumb down 1

Isn’t this the 2nd time in a row Menad has missed weight?!

I’m hoping after this fight Shaolin gets picked up l by TKO or one and moves on from these Edmonton BUMS

@Orest, Shane is already the champ… in no circumstance should he lose the belt if he’s beaten by a fighter who missed weight.

If the belt was vacant and Menad missed weight it would remain a title fight with only Shane being eligible to win the title.

@Mack Ten… as far as I know none of those three train at Hayabusa at all anymore. Abella, Scarcello and Beaumont are all Shaved Bears out of Little Sweatshop now.

Hopefully they match Shane up with more competitive fights, so he doesn’t have to waste his time steam rolling these local cans,
