EDMONTON — Ryan “The Real Deal” Ford is coming back to the cage.

After boxing professionally abroad for nearly five years, the hard-hitting Edmonton product Ryan “The Real Deal” Ford takes on Matthew Delanoit in MMA action at Unified 34 on Sept. 28 at River Cree Resort & Casino in Enoch, AB, LIVE on UnifiedMMA.ca.

A former WSOF champion, Ryan Ford boasts a professional MMA record of 22-5, including a 2-0 mark in the Bellator MMA cage, and has victories over five UFC vets.

“I’m very excited to get back in the cage for Unified at River Cree Resort & Casino! I’ve been itching for the past three years to get in there. Now the time is right,” says Ford, who’s most recent MMA fight came against former UFC title challenger Jake Shields.

“What the fans can expect is nothing but ‘The Real Deal,’ as always. I’m coming to put on an exciting, highlight reel-type fight!”

That sounds great to Delanoit, who’s shared the cage with world champion Ben Askren and other MMA stars, including former Canadian champ John Allessio and Josh Neer.

“Canada sounds great; I’m looking forward to the trip. Hopefully this is the first of many. It looks like Unified has a lot of welterweights I can come beat up,” says the Nebraska fighter, a winner in six of his past eight.

“Unfortunately the local fans can expect some sadness and disappointment. I’m coming to (expletive) this guy up and steal the show!”
