Leblanc out of Elite 1 main event. Savoie will get new opponent

It looks like the UFC are not the only promotion being effected by last minute injuries this weekend. While no one was busting up a bus, Top MMA News has learned that Julien LeBlanc is out of the main event for Elite 1 where he was set to face Christien Savoie for the promotions middleweight title. While full details have not emerged it appears the rumour is that Leblanc has suffered a knee injury.

The news came out last night when Savoie went on his Facebook page and did a live video at 10pm but he did announce that he does have a new opponent and will still be fighting in the main event. He also added it will be at a catch weight of 200lbs and that the fighter was from Ontario.

I was able to reach Mike Williams shortly after and he has confirmed that he has a new opponent in place but can’t announce it as of yet. Someone in our comment section has said that Nick Naccaratto will be fighting Savoie and comes into the match with a 2-2 record but nothing has been said by the Elite 1 team yet. We will keep you updated once more details emerge
