Canadian MMA Rumour Mill – March 26, 2018

Spring has sprung and March has a solid lineup of Canadian MMA action on deck with four cards north of the border. We’ll also see Olivier Aubin-Mercier, Arjan Bhullar and Alex Garcia step back inside the Octagon!

…and now for the Rumours

  • Prestige FC 10 goes down June 8 in Fort McMurray, Alberta and will feature a huge main event pitting the surging Jared Kilkenny against former multiple time, multiple weight class KOTC World Champion Tony “Kryptonite” Lopez.
  • Look for more “Diablo Fight Series” events throughout the Okanagan Valley region this year. Also, CEO Darren Cliffe has also already set his next three events at their home base of Grande Prairie for August 11, October 13 and December 14.

  • Ryan Ford dropped a 12 round Unanimous Decision to Andrey Sirotkin for the WBA Inter-Continental Super Middleweight Title in Russia this weekend. By many accounts it sounds like Sirotkin fought a safe fight en route to victory.

I can’t believe Tony Lopez is still out there banging. I figured he’d be retired by now, but it appears he just fights every other weekend.

I’m confused, Kilkenny didn’t fight ngannou or Nelson.
Something I’m missing? And if I were Kilkenny, and fighting Hudson, I’d be planning past him as well

Training and actually fighting are 2 very different concepts.

  8. MMA Fan says:

So does Kilkenny still fight Lopez, or does Prestige offer the fight to Hudson?
Can Kilkenny even fight Lopez, or is he under medical suspension for being KO’d?
