Canadian MMA Rumour Mill – October 17, 2017


We’re closing out the last quarter of 2017 strong with 10 events coming up throughout Canada over the next three months and you know where to find all the best coverage… right here of course!

Here come the rumours…

  • Unified MMA just keeps stacking these cards deeper and deeper. They’ve added a pair of title fights to Unified 33 as including Jared McComb defending the Light-Heavyweight Title against Teddy Ash and Michael Hay will battle Noah Ali for the inaugural Bantamweight Title.
  • Battlefield Fight League 52 goes down November 18 in Coquitlam and features dual champion Chris Anderson taking on UFC veteran Matt Dwyer in the main event and in the co-main event Cole Smith meets Tyler Dolby for the vacant Bantamweight Title.
  • Julia Budd will make her long awaited first title defense of her Bellator Featherweight title when she meet Arlene Blencowe on December 1st at Bellator 189. Budd defeated Blencowe last October by Majority Decision.
  • Valerie Letourneau is set to make her promotional debut at Bellator 191 in England this December against Kate Jackson
  • Gary Mangat will look to continue his hot streak when he takes on Stephen Loman at Brave Combat Federation 9 in Bahrain on November 17.



  • Louis Sanoudakis looks to rebound from his first career loss against Terry Bartholomew at Cage Fury FC 68 in Atlantic City on October 21.
  • Kyle Francotti will compete at the 2018 IMMAF then afterwards will make his long awaited pro debut.
  • KOTC: Ultimate Mix goes down November 18th from the Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino in Salamanca, New York and featured two Canadians. In the co-main event Xavier Nash meets Sean Felton. While amateur 9-1 standout Anthony Romero makes his pro debut against Pete San Antonio.

    Gary manget is fighting cans over there. Just looking for the easy route to the UFC. Mark my words if he gets there he will get smashed and released in 3 fights or less. He is avoiding all the top guys in Canada because he knows they will wreck his winning streak.
