Zahabi Meets Ramos at UFC 217 in NYC

According to the Montreal Gazette Aiemann Zahabi will join Tristar Gym teammate Georges St. Pierre on the UFC 217 card at Madison Square garden. The younger brother of head trainer Firas Zahabi will take on Brazilian submission artist Ricardo Lucas Ramos in a Bantamweight bout.

Aiemann Zahabi made his UFC debut back at UFC Fight Night 105 in Halifax with a Unanimous Decision victory over Reginaldo Viera. Zahabi put together a six fight win streak on the regional circuit to earn his UFC contract with all six victories coming by first round stoppage including three submissions and three knockouts.

Ricardo Lucas Ramos also recently won his UFC debut with a Unanimous Decision win against Michinori Tanaka at UFC Fight Night 104 in Houston. Ramos won 9 of his first 10 fights including a feature on Dana White: Looking for a Fight that earned him a UFC contract. Ramos has finished nine of his eleven opponents.

UFC 217 goes down November 4 from Madison Square Garden in New York City. In the main event Georges St-Pierre returns from a 4-year layoff and moves up a weight class to challenge Michael Bisping for the Middleweight Title and Cody Garbrandt defends the Bantamweight Title against bitter rival TJ Dillashaw. Also Joanna Jedrzejczyk is expected to defend the Women’s Strawweight Title against Rose Namajunas.
