It seems that Arjan Bhullar now has an opponent for his UFC debut. According to Province Sports, Bhullar will take on fellow Heavyweight Luis Henrique at UFC 216 in Edmonton this fall. With his debut Bhullar will be the first fighter of South-East Asian decent to step into the Octagon.

Arjan Bhullar recently signed with the UFC following an undefeated start to his MMA career. Bhullar went 6-0 as a pro as well as winning his lone amateur bout back in 2014. Prior to making the transition to mixed martial arts Bhullar was a standout freestyle wrestler winning a gold for Canada in the 2010 Commonwealth Games and also represented Canada in the 2012 Olympics. Bhullar holds notable wins over Adam Santos, Ryan Pokryfky and most recently Joe Yager.

Welcoming Bhullar to the UFC will be well rounded Brazilian Luis Henrique who enters the bout with a 2-2 record inside the Ocatagon. Henrique’s wins include a pair of submission victories over Dmitriy Smoliakov and Christian Colombo bookended by a pair of losses to fast rising Francis Ngannnou and most recently Marcin Tybura this past March.

UFC 216 goes down from Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta on September 9. No main event has been announced yet but the first bout confirmed for the card is Gavin Tucker taking on Rick Glenn in a Featherweight bout.

Andrew Mcinnes made the UFC after his last fight a year ago. They offered him a contract less than a year ago and he turned it down. It is unlikely the UFC will be asking him again.

McInnes is too cool for UFC. Maybe fighting for ONE, or some Russian 4-on-4 mma tag team match.
