The UFC will return to Glasgow, Scotland for the first time in nearly two years with Fight Night 113 on July 16. UFC officials recently announced a trio of match-ups for the card including Victoria, BC’s Ryan Janes taking on Welsh fighter Jack Marshman in a Middleweight contest. Also official for the card is a Light-Heavyweight bout between Glasgow’s Paul Craig and Khalil Rountree and a Heavyweight clash pitting Mark Godbeer against Justin Willis.

Ryan Janes will make his third walk to the Octagon and looks to get back in the win column after a quick submission loss to Gerald Meerschaert at UFC Fight Night 105. Janes made his UFC debut back in December with a Unanimous Decision victory over Keith Berish after a pair of UFC contests fell through due to various reasons. Janes earned his ticket to the UFC after defeating the likes of Brendan Kornberger, Duncan Wilson and David Perron twice. Janes is a proven finisher with 7 of his 9 victories coming by submission or TKO.

Jack Marshman has been a long time staple on the UK MMA scene compiling an impressive 20-5 record since making his pro debut back in 2010. Marshman entered the UFC in November with a Performance of the Night winning TKO of Magnus Cedenblad before dropping his next bout via highlight reel wheel kick KO against Thiago Santos also on the Fight Night 105 card. Marshman is also adept at ending his fights early and has had only 3 of his 21 victories make it to the judges scorecards.
