  1. Marc-Andre Drolet says:

So a new promotion in Manitoba with a title fight?

No offense to Jared or Rick, but why would the commission sanction these guys for a 5 round fight?

One has made it past the 1st round one time out of 6 fights, and the other has fought 6 minutes.

Glad to hear of somebody running a show in the province, but not a fan of this bout being 5 rounds.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 10 Thumb down 8

  2. EPerez says:

    They’re both champions.

  3. Chris C says:

MAD is MAD because he is no longer involved or relevant in MMA in Manitoba.

  4. I was born MAD

I’m happy 2 new promotions are running shows this year, and happy both Jared and Rick get to compete, I just think it would be more appropriate to make it a 3 round fight.

    Pardon my concern for safety

  5. Big dude says:

MAD…seriously you’re not even relevant anymore. No one cares what you think

  6. Big dude says:

Good on a promotion…in Northern Manitoba giving some guys from the north the opportunity to fight for strap. Let’s just be happy we got some new promotions in MB

  7. Cody Rempel says:

@Big dude… Why does someone have to fit your criteria of being “relevant” to have an opinion? How are you relevant enough to be the authority who should be allowed to comment?

    Well-loved! Thumb up 19 Thumb down 2

  8. New promotions are great in the province, i’m excited it’s been 3 years and we’ll have 2 events in 2017 in Manitoba.

Sorry If I think 2 HW fighters with 30 minutes of experience between the 2 of them in 8 fights combined shouldn’t be sanctioned for a 5 round, 25 minute fight. 3 rounds I’m cool with, and most likely the fight won’t make it out of the 1st.

Big dude, what do you know bout relevance?

  9. HAPPY says:

MAD is just butthurt because in every single MMA fight he had he got his ass kicked in the first fucking round.

Why you talking shit bout other fighters MAD? You suck worse than them anyways

    Well-loved! Thumb up 11 Thumb down 3

  10. Where am I talking shit about any fighters?

It’s a critique of the commission IF they sanction the bout as a 5 rounder.

The fight itself is a good matchup, and will be fun

  11. Patty says:

MAD who said the commission sanctioned a 5 round fight? Don’t believe everything on the internets

Thumb up 4 Thumb down 2

  12. In the past, they wouldn’t have allowed it, and I have no reason they’d allow it in 2017.

I have no problem with a 3 round title fight.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 6 Thumb down 5

  13. EPerez says:

Have either of them even gone to a 4th or 5th minute?

Thumb up 3 Thumb down 2

  14. Jared had an active fight from start to finish against Steve Roy a few years ago that went about 11 minutes.

After the first 30 seconds of the fight you wouldn’t have thought that fight would have seen the 2nd round, yet it made it to the 3rd.

    Well-loved! Thumb up 14 Thumb down 0

  15. Markhaile says:

Unfortunately Saskatchewan won’t allow any one to box pro without any amuture boxing fights ..so my first pro boxing fight will be in calgary June 24.

    Well-loved! Thumb up 11 Thumb down 2

  16. Cody Rempel says:

Do you know if you’ll be able to box there once you have a pro record?

Thumb up 3 Thumb down 0

  17. Marc-Andre Drolet says:

I guess Mcgregor vs Mayweather won’t be taking place in Saskatchewan then

Thumb up 5 Thumb down 1

Not sure but I will find out pretty soon ..
