morgan looked great but they stoppage was horrendous. Both were robbed. TJ of a chance to win and Morgan will have people descredit him when he looked great.

Regarding the Laramie fight – haven’t seen it yet, but bad stoppages always suck. That said, sometimes you’re the hammer, sometimes you’re the nail. I still think he should’ve been dq’d for an illegal knee in his last fight.

  8. Bad stoppage for sure.

Bad ending for TJ. However, Laramie did get dropped. The ref also robbed Morgan from the chance to pound out a hurt Laramie and finishing him cleanly. Laramie only grabbed a leg after Morgan was touched by the ref to end the fight.

  9. It also looked like Laramie had his nose broke when he ate a big shot from Morgan earlier in the fight.

Just saw the ending. Bad stoppage? Yeah, maybe. But people online need to get off Laramie’s nuts on this and give Morgan some credit here.

Morgan dropped him and followed it up with some beautiful shots. Laramie hugged his leg, and only went for the takedown after the ref stopped it (like Keith said above), otherwise he likely would’ve eaten a pile more. I’d say it was stopped early, but chances are Morgan was going to continue hitting him.

People in ON need to come to the realization that this kid isn’t necessarily the second coming, and that he is beatable. Morgan rung his bell, case closed…and props to him for a big win.

“Stupid.” sounds to me you’re more of a hater then someone giving their unbiased opinion in this scenario. At the end of the day the ref didn’t even see sure of the stoppage himself, not even waving it off until laramie had gotten to his feet. Kid was robbed of his chance to recover if you ask me at no point did he stop moving.

Certainly not a hater, mmafan. Laramie is one of the best up & comers in the country, and I love watching him fight. What’s irritating about this scenario is that all the focus is on Laramie losing, rather than Morgan winning.

Speaking of haters, did you see the Kobe’s Korber “breakdown” of the fight where he strongly eluded to the fact that there was some type of collusion between Morgan’s team and the Ref?

All I’m saying is credit needs to be given when it’s due.

Its known in the Quebec scene that Yannick loof is indeed associated with tristar, for anyone to be reffing a professional fight where personal relationships could play a factor is crazyness. Morgan landed a great punch, with a single follow up strike, how the fight would’ve went no one can say because the ref stole that from us as viewers. In my personal opinion I felt Laramie was getting off the better strikes aswell as controlling the fight. This is mma and peoples careers. The fighters deserve every chance to defend themselves.
