Triumph FC 2 is beginning to take shape with the recent rumour from sources close to the event that Jesse “Big Cat” Arnett will look to continue his rise up the Bantamweight ranks when he takes on UFC veteran Cody “The Renegade” Gibson in the main event. We’ve also received official word that Cody “Donkey” Krahn will meet Elmer “The Warrior” Waterhen at a Catchweight of 195lbs in what promises to be an action packed co-main event.

Jesse Arnett comes into this bout on the strength of a 8 fight win streak including 7 straight finishes and has emerged as one of the most exciting and promising prospects in Canada. After a 3-4 start to his career Arnett has turned a corner and left a path of destruction behind him with wins over the likes of Roland Delorme, Vince Murdock, Mike Hernandez, Darrick Minner and more. Arnett has finished 10 of his 11 victories and is considered somewhere in the top 3 Bantamweights in the country along with Bibiano Fernandes and Josh Hill.

Cody Gibson is on a three fight win streak and recently captured the Tachi Palace Bantamweight Title with a win over Rolando Velasco. The UFC veteran went 1-3 inside with Octagon with a win over Johnny Bedford whom Arnett was scheduled to fight at Fight Night 2 in Medicine Hat before injury knocked Bedford out. Gibson’s three losses came to once beaten prospects Aljamain Sterling and Douglas Silva de Andrade as well as tough veteran Manny Gamburyan.

Cody Krahn returns from a year long quasi-retirement that saw him switch his focus to kickboxing. In his return he will look to end a three fight losing streak. Krahn is a proven finisher with all 15 of his victories coming by way of knockout or submission. Krahn holds notable wins over the likes of Mike Kent, Clay Davidson, Duncan Wilson and Ryan Chiappe among others.

Elmer Waterhen is the former KOTC Welterweight and current KOTC Middleweight Champion. Waterhen recently returned from his own retirement when he re-claimed the Middleweight Title from Drayton Angus at KOTC Wrecking Ball this past March with a head kick knockout. Waterhen’s career began way back in 2003 and he holds victories over Garret Davis, Brad Stewart, Aaron Bruc, Tim Thurston, Jason Tatlow and more.

Also set for Triumph FC 2 will be a Middleweight bout between Christopher Boisvert and Drayton Angus, a Heavyweight clash between Jared Henderson and Dustin Joynson, Brad Robinson vs. Tyler White at 190lbs, Pamela Gavronsky and Kate McDonald making their pro debuts at Featherweight and Tyler Nicholson taking on Kris Stewart at Bantamweight. Triumph FC is expected to announce 5 more fights in the coming weeks as contracts are finalized.

“do you know what happens to people who fighter bash? Doug you know? Huh?”

What are you trying to spit out there? Is that a new language or something?

Should be an easy cake walk of a fight for Arnett being the #3 ranked 135er in Canada outside the UFC.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 1 Thumb down 8
