Gagnon Makes Return At UFC 206


It’s been almost 2 full years since Canadian fans last saw Mitch Gagnon compete. In fact when Gagnon

steps into the Octagon December 10th in Toronto it will be 10 days shy of the 2 year mark when he fought Renan Barao at UFC Fight Night 58.

Gagnon made his UFC debut in 2012 at UFC 149 in a spirited loss to Bryan Caraway. “The Machine” turned around a put together a 4 fight win streak inside the Octagon with wins over the likes Walel Watson, Dustin Kimura and Roman Salazar. Out of those 4 victories 3 were first round submissions including a submission of the night bonus at UFC 165.

Gagnon will meet Matthew Lopez who gave Rani Yahya all he could handle in his UFC debut this past July. Prior to stepping into the Octagon Lopez was undefeated at 8-0 with a 5 bout stint in the RFA where he finished all his opponents in the first round.

UFC 206 takes place December 10th in Toronto, Ontario at the Air Canada Centre. The card is headlined by a Light Heavyweight Championship bout between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson along with a new addition of Max Holloway versus Anthony Pettis in a Featherweight contenders match up.

    Mr. Lopez is in big trouble. A healthy, rested and motivated Gagnon aint good for nobody at 135 pounds!
