Alexis “Ally-Gator” Davis is set to make her return to the Octagon after a 20 month hiatus from the sport due to her pregnancy and the birth of her first child earlier this year. Davis will meet Sara McMann in a battle of former Bantamweight Title challengers.

Alexis Davis returns to the cage having won her last bout against fellow Canadian Sarah Kaufman. Davis submitted Kaufman via armbar in the second round avenging a pair of losses in Strikeforce and in her pro debut way back in 2007. That victory put Davis’ UFC record at a solid 4-1 with her only loss coming to former Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey. Davis also holds notable victories over the likes of Jessica Eye, Liz Carmouche and current UFC Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes among numerous other top female Bantamweights.

McMann also comes into this bout on the strength of a Unanimous Decision victory over Jessica Eye. McMann sports a 3-3 record overall inside the Octagon but at first glance those numbers can be deceiving as her only three losses have come to three out of the four Women’s Bantamweight Champions in Ronda Rousey, Meisha Tate and Amanada Nunes. The Olympic silver medalist made her pro MMA debut in 2011 and holds notable wins over Tonya Evinger, Shayna Baszler and Lauren Murphy among others.
