Title Eliminator & Lightweight Feature Among Four Fights Added to Prestige FC 3

Prestige Fight Club THUMBA foursome of fights, including two major additions to the main card, have been set for the Prestige FC 3: Ascension presented by Stellar Gear event on Friday, Oct. 7th in Regina, Saskatchewan at the Delta Regina Hotel & Convention Centre.

At the top of the list is a middleweight title eliminator pitting undefeated elite prospect Mariusz “The Iron Pol” Ksiazkiewicz against veteran Drayton “Soldier” Angus (all bouts pending ACS approval). The winner of the bout is guaranteed a Prestige FC title fight.

Ksiazkiewicz (5-0) is one of Canada’s best high-end prospects and further illustrated that when he beat Micah Brakefield at Prestige FC 2 in March. Brakefield failed to answer the bell for the third round, giving Ksiazkiewicz his first TKO victory to go with three submission wins. The 26-year-old from the Winnipeg Academy of Mixed Martial Arts has posted two of this three tapout victories inside the opening round.

A proud First Nations competitor from Onion Lake, Saskatchewan, Angus (5-4) has won two of his last three outings. The 29-year-old has notched four wins by knockout – three of those coming inside the first five minutes.

Another prospect-versus-veteran matchup heaped onto the Prestige FC 3 lineup pits Clay “Demon Knight” Dixon up against Jose “Rockstar” Rodriguez.

Dixon (4-0), who fights out of the UFC Gym North Edmonton, got his career off to a blazing start with three victories in 2015. The 28-year-old has posted a pair of first-round submission wins.

The 30-year-old Rodriguez (7-5) is a longtime fixture on the Saskatchewan MMA scene. His balanced attack has produced three wins via knockout and three wins by submission. He returns to the organization looking for a measure of redemption after falling to Mandel Nallo via a second-round submission at Prestige FC 1 last October.

The two other bouts added to the Prestige FC 3 lineup bolster an undercard primarily made up of young talents trying to make their mark.

In lightweight action, Ryan Rohovich (3-3) of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, will clash with Winnipeg’s David Swanson (2-1). A bragging rights battle will see a pair of Saskatoon light-heavyweights make their professional debuts when Lee Hagel takes on Tyler Weran.
