Kennedy Set to Debut at UFC on FOX 21 in Vancouver

UFC ThumbUnbeaten Jeremy Kennedy will join a couple other debuting Canadians on the UFC on FOX 21 card in Vancouver later this summer. MMA Fighting announced today that Kennedy would be moving up in weight to take on fellow undefeated prospect Josh Emmett on the card.

Jeremy Kennedy brings an unblemished pro record of 8-0 to the Octagon for his debut and also sports a 6-1 amateur record. “JBC” will be moving up to Lightweight after fighting predominantly at Featherweight where he captured the BFL Pro Title and the Hard Knocks Amateur Title and even fought as low as Bantamweight in his pro debut. Kennedy’s only loss in that span was a split decision loss to Cam Deleurme in his debut bout almost 6 years ago. Kennedy owns stoppages in five of his eight pro bouts and has notable wins over the likes of Mario Perreira and Drew Brokenshire.

Kennedy will be taking on Team Alpha Male’s undefeated prospect Josh Emmett who enters this bout after a successful UFC debut via split decsion over John Tuck at UFC Fight Night 87. Emmett remains undefeated in his MMA career knocking off experienced veterans such as Christos Giagos, Rocky Johnson and Brandon Ricetti and winning the WCFC Lightweight Title en route the big call up.

UFC on FOX 21 goes down live from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC on August 27. In the main event Carlos Condit and Demian Maia will do battle in a Welterweight bout. Also on the card TUF Nations Welterweight winner takes on Thibault Gouti and Shane Campbell meets Felipe Silva both in Lightweight contests and Ryan Janes will take on Adam Hunter in an All-Canadian Middleweight match-up.
