The UFC announced that two maritime Canadians will make their Octagon debut against each other at UFC on Fox 21.  The event, held at The Rogers Arena in Vancouver, will feature Ryan Janes against Adam Hunter.  The bout was previously rumoured in this week’s Rumour Mill.

Ryan Janes (8-1) is currently on a seven fight win streak that has seen him win every fight since May 2009.  Along the way, the Newfoundland native, who trains out of Victoria, BC, captured the Battlefield Fight League Middleweight title and beat such fighters as Brendan Kornberger and David Perron.

Adam Hunter (7-1) is from Fredericton, New Brunswick and is the current Elite 1 MMA Light-Heavyweight champion.  Hunter was the Elite 1 Middleweight champ as well, but was stripped of his belt for missing weight following his last Elite 1 bout.  Hunter, who is also on a seven fight win streak, really impressed in his last bout with a 40 second knockout over former UFCer Chris Dempsey.
