The UFC on Fox 21 card has added its first Canadian name to the Vancouver, British Columbia event. The UFC announced that Chad Laprise will take on Thibault Gouti on the August 27th card.

Chad Laprise (10-2) is a TUF Nations winner who got off to a 3-0 start to his UFC career. Unfortunately, that came to an end for “The Disciple” as he lost to Francisco Trinaldo and Ross Pearson in his last two outings.

In Thibault Gouti (11-2), Laprise will be facing an opponent that has yet to have his armed raised in the Octagon. Gouti lost to Teemu Packalen and Olivier Aubin-Mercier in his only two UFC fights. Aubin-Mercier is a common opponent of the two fighters as Laprise defeated Aubin-Mercier in the TUF Nations Finale.

The UFC on FOX 21 takes place at the Rogers Arena and fights between Charles Oliveira and Anthony Pettis and Bec Rawlings and Paige VanZant, among others, have already been announced.
