Last year, Hakeem Dawodu’s impressive win streak came to an end with a draw against Marat Magomedov at WSOF 26. Now, the two will meet again in a number one contenders fight to see who will challenge current WSOF Featherweight champion Alexandre Almeida. Daniel Austin of the Toronto Sun was the first to report the match up.

Dawodu originally made his name in Muay Thai where he went 10-0 with 7 KO’s and was quickly thrown to the sharks in his MMA career making his pro debut with WSOF Canada. “Mean” has had no easy bouts throughout his two year MMA career defeating the likes of Mike Malott, Tristan Johnson and Chuka Willis finishing each man by TKO. To up his ante for the important rematch, he will take his training camp on the road to Florida and sharpen his skills with the Blackzillians.

Magomedov also had his win streak stopped at 7 with the Dawodu draw. The Dagestani fighter fought all his previous bouts in the eastern European regional scene finishing all but one of his opponents by way of submission.

WSOF 32 goes down July 30 from the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. No other bouts for the card have been officially confirmed.

  2. Rich St. Albert Guy says:

The 145 lb fighters from Complete MMA in the best city on the planet St. Albert, AB would all wreck Hakeem.

Cam Yallits, Lenny Wheeler, Parwez G all would KO Hakeem. Where’s Hakeem from, Calgary? The 403? Pffft.

I’m rich and from St. Albert. My statements are always correct and valid. The St. Albert Merchants are also better than the Edmonton Oilers.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 2 Thumb down 9
