Yes its the same guy, any comission who allows this is a joke, any fighter who is on this card is contributing to why mma is taking a step back in canada.

most of us that took the time to go to the Calgary show and not be given a single public apology or the respect after the fact shows us all this promoter is simply a joke whom left us standing in line at the event aswell as not paying fighters and screwing them for the hotel bills is disgraceful and wrong

for that there is is no freaking way i would make the trip after that fiasco

good luck to the fighters whom are taking a leap of faith to trust them for i will not

Why in gods name is Showtime getting a title shot?

He is 1-9 in his last 9 fights. The guy is comming off 4 losses in a row and they give him a title shot?

    What a joke promotion.

  17. Cody Rempel says:

Here is the clarification I got on the Machan vs. McKenzie and Meunier vs. Martinez Title fights… Machan vs. McKenzie is actually at 185lbs and not 170lbs as originally posted.

    Fight Night:
“The title Meunier/Martinez are fighting for his the Fight Night Title and the title that Machan/Mckenzie are fighting for the “Main Event” Title. It’s a one time title like a trophy”

    Ryan Machan:
“Me and Cody are fighting for the (Main Event) belt and the winner will fight the other winner of the 185 fight night belt”

  20. mmafa says:

They should just make Machan vs Mackenzie for the MW title, no offence but Vallee vs Wedderburn isnt championship material, one guys lost 9 of his last 10 and the other guy has 4 fights. Are one of these guys related to the promoter or something? Or Markus Hicks wasnt available? Haha.

So lets say Vallee wins and Machan wins, your next title fight has a guy with 5 fights fighting a guy with 33 fights?

Or lets say Wedderburn wins and Mackenzie wins, you have 2 guys that are a combined 3-13 in there last 16 fights fighting for the title.

Plus nobody wants to see either of those fights!

  22. A.D.Clay says:

The fighters will all get belts as compensation when the event cancels. In addition, all members of the commission are being paid in belts, as well as per diem for the fighters corner and coaches will be paid in belts. Belts to the winner of the 50/50 (1-10 chance of winning due to 10 fan attendance) As well as a free belt to all who attend. The event does not offer a dinner, but a belt buffet is set up. Take home option for the belt buffet has also been confirmed. Cord Crowthers will be in attendance to make sure he takes home his yearly needed supply for belts. Pants size belts will be available for that fan/fighter that wants to sport their ‘gold’ out on the town with having it be too bulky. Being in the southern alberta area, ive read mention of the customized “bible belt” offered at this event as well for those interested in the gospel. There will be a fashion show at the after party for those willing to show off their new belts, fan and fighters welcome. Once the show is over though, I hear that a formal request to have all the belts returned has been issued by the promoter citing “i will need to get home somehow when the event is over”. The belts will need to be melted down and fashioned into a Saddle and bridle for said promoter to ride out of town on the DONKEY he rode in on.

  24. mmafan says:

Him trying to right a wrong doesnt get me back the $550 I spent on flights or the $300 on hotels, and the cash that it cost for my car rental the last time he tried to hold an event! And why wouldnt we complain about match ups? We are the ones that pay to go see them.

  25. wow says:

Yah and he didnt care the event was called off, he laughed and blamed the fighters and after being pickedup by another show we were unable to sell any tix because of what he did his first show, hes not trying to right a wrong hes moving forward with his show and doesnt give a fuck what anyone has to say. and if the show does indeed get called off you will all eventually get paid but he wont give a fuck the amount of effort you put into your camp or the people that came to support you but wont risk it again because they dont realize all promoters arnt fucked like he is. fighting for him is setting fighters back and if you met the guy youd know hes not trying to “right a wrong” hes trying to make a fun place for all his coked out buddies to act like big shots. but you will all find out soon enough.

  26. Orangina says:

how can anyone stick up for a guy who went to the hotel the fighters were staying at and cancel all thier rooms? Or how about not knowing on fight day if you even have a fight.

Yes we’ve all dropped the ball at one point or another but this guy is greasy, sneaky and a coward for the shit he pulled.

  27. MMA says:

This is why there will never be a fighters union as there are always fighters willing to put themselves thru crap situations to please even crappier promoters.
