Prestige FC, Canada’s hottest mixed martial arts promotion, is very excited to announce that two top-calibre prospects will collide at Prestige FC 2: Queen City Coronation presented by 104.9 The Wolf.

Bantamweights Brad “KO” Katona and Josh “The Ripper” Rich will go head-to-head in the Prestige FC cage on Saturday, March 12th inside the George Reed Auditorium at The Orr Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan.

“This is very big fight which will definitely determine Canada’s best and fastest-rising young talent in the 135-pound division,” said Cord Crowthers, CEO & Matchmaker for Prestige FC.

“Brad’s reputation has made countless fighters absolutely terrified to face him. He has such immense and rapidly improving skills. Yet Josh deserves full credit. It says a lot about him when he’s the only fighter in the country who when offered the fight didn’t hum and haw and find any excuse to say no. He immediately was all in. This fight has all the makings of being a real showstealer.”

A former member of Canada’s national boxing team, Katona (2-0), who hails from Winnipeg, Manitoba, has notched a pair of first-round victories. In his pro debut at MFC 41, he felled Michael Hay with a body shot and then followed that with a submission via guillotine choke against Myles Anderson at the inaugural Prestige FC back in October.

Rich (3-1), who fights out of Chatham, Ontario, holds two wins via submission along with a first-round knockout. The upcoming bout will be Rich’s first foray outside of the Ontario fight scene.

This fight is added to an already action-packed lineup topped by the Prestige FC featherweight title bout pitting Kurt “The Hurt” Southern against Nick “Nyquil” Rhoads.

Prestige FC 2: Queen City Coronation signed fights to date (all fights pending ACS approval):

Kurt Southern vs. Nick Rhoads – featherweight title

Keith Smetana vs. Devon Smith – middleweight

Adam Lorenz vs. Curtis Demarce – featherweight

Brad Katona vs. Josh Rich – bantamweight

Sean Quinn vs. Eric Wilson – bantamweight

Nick Campbell vs. Dan Amyotte – catchweight (220)

Justin Schmit vs. Ricky Guillen – middleweight
