Halifax’s own Mike Malott will make his Bellator MMA debut against Ousmane Thomas Diagne at Bellator/Glory’s “Dynamite” event.

Malott, a Titans MMA product, has been spending time training in California at Team Alpha Male. “The Main Attraction” started off his career 4-0 with 4 first round stoppages none exceeding the two minute mark before encountering another undefeated prospect in Hakeem Dawodu who put the first blemish on Mike’s records. Malott will look to get back in the win column while fighting the biggest bout in his young career.

Diagne, a native of Paris, France who now trains out of American Kickboxing Academy, started off his pro career in the Strikeforce Challenger series albeit in rough fashion going 1-3 in his first 4 bouts against the likes of Kaleo Kwan and Caros Fedor. The AKA product rebounded with 4 straight wins all via TKO but lost his last outing to Brandon Ricetti last June at WFC 10.

Bellator 142 “Dynamite” goes down September 19th from the SAP Center in San Jose, California. The card features a Light Heavyweight title match up between champion Liam McGeary and Tito Ortiz as well as a 4 man elimination tournament to find the next 205 lbs contender.
