Edmonton, Alberta Canada – June 24, 2015

Unified MMA has announced the headline fight for their upcoming show and it brings their former Heavyweight Champion against a long time MMA and UFC Veteran who is looking to re-establish himself.

Former Unified MMA Heavyweight Champion Tanner Boser will be taking on UFC Veteran Victor Valimaki as Main Event of Unified 24 on September 25th at the Mirage Banquet Facility in Edmonton Alberta Canada.

Victor Valimaki said “I am very excited to fight Tanner Boser. He is a promising fighter who is as tough as nails. He has been running through a lot of guys but he has never fought a fighter like me. I am bringing the best package of my career to this fight so we will see where he really stands.”

Victor “The Finnisher” Valimaki’s current record is 18 wins and 9 losses he has fought in the UFC, TFC, KOTC and others. It would be his first appearance in Unified MMA.

Tanner Boser said “I was offered multiple opponents. Victor is by far the toughest which is why I agreed to this fight. I want to fight the best guys I can and be in fights with other top fighters. He’s a UFC veteran, he has a lot more experience than me, and I want to see how I match up with someone like that. Every fight means a lot to me because the next one up is always the most important. However, this one has the potential to be my signature win – and that’s what I plan on making it.”

“We are both exciting fighters who finish fights. There will be fireworks.”

“Tanner is the type of fighter that promoters love, I offer him options and he always comes back wanting the toughest test.”

“These are the types of fights fans want to see and we can’t wait for September 25th!”

  1. The sad thing about this main event is Tanner will work his ass off putting in a full training camp only to have valimaki pull out, I predict around the long weekend in September, thus leaving the promoter scrambling for a replacement in which case it will be too short notice for any suitable opponent. With valimaki history repeats itself.

I heard promoter asked Hudson to fight Bosser weeks ago
Hudson agreed and gave up a fight in Oct. For XFFC Only to be told yesterday that Bosser backed out of fight and went with a different option.

    Wtf is that

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 8 Thumb down 7

In a surprise twist Victor Valamaki has been forced to pull out of the fight due to an undisclosed injury. Sources close to The Matrix indicate that he is in good spirits and sad to not be able to fight however he is still taking bookings as “Officer Naughty” although availability is tight.

We wish Victor all the best and hope to see him pull out of another fight in the near future….

i don’t think victor will pull out not having to have to cut. when he shows up well trained and healthy he is a dangerous experienced opponent for tanner. tanner is the only fighter I know who turns down fights often because they look too easy when his career is still so young. some say he is a warrior, others say its foolish, I say im a fan! he never tries to be anything, but he just is. from his beautiful mullet to how and who he fights. a lot of progression to be had and looking forward to the next adventure.
