  8. I'll Say It says:

So what’s everybody’s thoughts of Kyle Nelson going to train along side Jeremy Kennedy at Alpha Male? Seems pretty douchey to me.

  10. Don't Call Me Leon says:

Personally if I was running Alpha Male I wouldn’t let a member’s opponent train with the team. There’s so many big camps to choose from, Tristar, RoufusSport, and Jackson/Winklejohn to name a few.

  11. Typecast says:

Why would undefeated fighters want to leave their camp that got them to this point, to go be punching bags and grappling dummies for Mendes, Faber, Palmer, etc…not to mention paying them a fee to do so. Same goes for those other ‘super camps’ where no one cares for your wellbeing and are only looking for their 10%

  12. Don't Call Me Leon says:

Not sure if anyone’s leaving their camp, probably just gonna finish camp elsewhere with new coaches and training partners.

    Some good points though!

Do you think you would improve your skill set more being a big fish in a small pond? Or small fish in a big pond?

  14. Typecast says:

Is it a coincidence every single UFC champion has spent their entire careers with one camp (only other is Lawler with two). Talented athletes and quality training partners can be found everywhere throughout Canada. Too many fighters have yes men or frauds around them putting doubt in their minds

Thumb up 1 Thumb down 5

  15. Don't Call Me Leon says:

That’s just not true… GSP use to train primarily at Tristar but would also go to New York (Renzo Gracie), Denver (Grudge) and very infrequently at Jackson/Winklejohn. Those last two were earlier on I believe.

  16. mmafan says:

And the next welterweight champ started at toshido and moved to tristar.
