Charges Against Lee Mein Dismissed

By:

Lee Mein and Jordan MeinPrior to UFC Fight Night 49 last August, Lee Mein was arrested on charges of sexual battery (Read HERE). The head coach of Lethbridge’s Canadian Martial Arts Centre was in Tulsa, Oklahoma for his son Jordan’s fight when he was accused of assaulting a housekeeper.  Now, those charges have been dismissed.

Jason Edge, Lee Mein’s attorney, has released the following statement,

Mr. Mein (Lee) is finally able to put this nightmare behind him. He has maintained his innocence throughout and never once waivered – He simply did not commit this crime! It is sad when some people see a spotlight and are willing to throw false accusations against another innocent person. To be fair it should be noted that the accuser in this case is an ex-con who had just very recently been released from prison. The inconsistencies and improbabilities in her statements are astounding.

The felony charge against Lee was dismissed outright. In the end Lee maintained his innocence; he was found guilty of nothing; and all charges levied against him have been dismissed and expunged from his criminal record. Lee leaves this process just as innocent as he started it.

Great news!!! It sucks that Lee had to go through the process and have numerous people slander him while hiding behind fake screen names.

    Great news.

A lot of us believed in Lee 100% all through this process and its great news that this turned out exactly as is should.

It sucks for Lee that he had to go through this but he was classy throughout and should hold his head up high. (He’s used to going forward with his chin up in the air so he should be good there.)

Lotsa love for the big guy.

Never a doubt In the minds of anyone that knows him. Sad that people need to he that shallow to accuse and even more so to jump on the bandwagon. But it the end Lee will go on being Lee… Stellar that is!!!

First of anything like this I’ve heard of Lee. He is a man of respect given and earned and nonetheless in my dealings with him. As allegations go, I have family that are veterans over several wars and one of the principles they defended was you are innocent until proven guilty – the court of public opinion with all of its fickle assumptions be damned.
If Lee is guilty, I believe he is the type of man to own up.
Embarrassing? Yes. Affect his sons performance? Maybe. Should we wait for the facts before passing our petty judgement? As decent people who believe in at least the pretense of justice – Absolutely.

The odds of Rousey losing her next match are greater than the nine thumbs down crowd here getting the facts before they pass judgment. Essentially the PREMISE of justice SOME Canadians will never understand.

    @ Joe Doerksen:

Lee missed the Mike Pyle fight which was only a few hours after he made bail so I can see why they wouldn’t want him there. He was in Jordan’s corner for his fight against Alves in January though.

^^^Yea you can’t fault the UFC for acting on the little information they had at the time.

Very glad to see it’s all cleared up though, Lee is a class act

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 5 Thumb down 3
