Dave is just dishing out strike after strike but Ryan is relentlessly working for the takedown. Ryan manages to get Dave back to the mat but Dave wall walks back to his feet then attempts a guillotine. Ryan escapes the guillotine before the round ends. Ryan is tough as hell. From mount Clay locks in a Guillotine and forces the tap.
Clay Davidson submits Todd Stoute by Guillotine Choke in Round 1, 2:27

Todd is complaining after the fight that he wasn’t trying to tap. I clearly saw the tap though. Adam made the right call.

Mike O’Neill vs. Craig Shintani
ref. Andy Social
Round 1: Mike takes Craig down with an AWESOME slam. That was seriously nuts! Craig uses a toe hold to get back to his feet then eats a knee to the groin as soon as the fighters stand up. Referee Andy Social breaks the fighters up to give Craig his recovery time. Mike lands a great right hook and knee to the body then Craig pushes him up against the cage. Craig lands some body shots then drops Mike to one knee with one of his punches. Craig goes on the attack and starts punishing Mike with strikes to the head and body. Mike slumps over and stops defending himself so referee Andy Social stops the fight.

There is some commotion in the cage. It appears Mike may have been injured by a groin shot that neither referee nor I saw. The doctor checks him out and he seems to be ok.
Craig Shintani defeats Mike O’Neill by TKO (strikes) in Round 1, 3:34

Louie Grover vs. Shai Lindsey
ref. Adam Cheadle
Round 1: Louie lands a nice leg kick but eats a right straight for his efforts. Shai lands an overhead right. Shai lands another overhand right that connects and follows it up with a series of punches that go unanswered by Louie. Shai’s striking and defensive movement is obviously on another level. Shai charges forward with a devastating combination culminating in a huge knee to the body that drops Louie. Shai doesn’t let up and referee Adam Cheadle calls a stop to the action.
Shai Lindsey defeats Louie Grover by TKO (Strikes) in Round 1, 1:42

Dauda Keita vs. Nick Burnham
***Amateur Lightweight Title Fight***
ref. Adam Cheadle
Round 1: The fighters start off the round circling around the cage feeling each other out. Eventually Nick shoots for the takedown and completes it. Nick transitions to mount. It looks like Nick is looking for a kimura from mount but Dauda isn’t giving him the opportunity. Nick transitions to side control and lands a decent knee to Dauda’s body.

Round 2: Dauda throws a leg kick and Nick counters with a single leg takedown. Nick slowly transitions to mount then to side control. Nick is landing the occasional knee from side control. Dauda isn’t giving up anything in the way of submission opportunities but he isn’t doing a lot to get back to his feet either. Nick finishes in mount.

Clay Dixon vs. Justin Basra
ref. Andy Social
Round 1: Justin shoots for a single leg and takes Clay down. Justin lands a few body shots and Clay looks to the ref for help. I think Clay thought body shots to a grounded opponent were illegal. Justin almost catches his nick but Cay recovers. Clay reverses Justin then Justin reverses clay and the fighters stand up. Clay lands a great body kick then Justin picks up Clay walks him across the cage and drops him to the mat with a huge slam ala Matt Hughes and Frank Trigg. Clay reverses him again though and finishes strong on top.
Top MMA News scores the round 10-8 Justin Basra.

Round 2: Justin takes clay down again and takes his back. Clay looks a lot bigger than Justin actually so I’m amazed he is taking him down at will. Clay is fighting it but Justin manages to sink his hooks in. Justin is working more to secure his position than to attempt a rear naked choke but hold position he does, effortlessly. Clay turns giving up mount. Justin takes his back then mount again. Back mount is sort of frustrating to watch without head strikes!. Clay get up but Justin takes him back to the mat immediately. Justin dominated this round.
Top MMA News scores the round 10-8 Justin Basra.

Round 3: Justin shoots for a single leg exactly like he did during the opening seconds of the last two rounds. This time the fighters get tangled up though with Clay in a reverse back mount. Sort of. Justin manages to win the position scramble eventually securing side control. Clay gives up his back and starts eating some knees to the body. Justin is doing more damage from back mount this round with a steady barrage of body shots and knees showing off some awesome top position transitions. Clay recovers guard at the end of the round but Justin finishes on top.
Top MMA News scores the round 10-8 Justin Basra.
Justin Basra defeats Clay Dixon by Unanimous Decision

Mac Laursen vs. Sterling Michetti
ref. Adam Cheadle

Mac Laursen’s just mad dogging Sterling in the cage during the introductions. Awesome!

Round 1: Mac opens the round with a nice left cross then takes Sterling down. Mac lets him up the takes him down again with a headlock toss. The fighters scramble on the ground until Mac recovers top position inside Sterling’s guard. Mac lands some crushing body shots right in front of my position cage side. Sterling catches Mac in a tight guillotine from guard. It looks tight but Mac manages to pop his head out. Mac bounces back up to his feet then drops back into Sterling’s guard. Mac passes to mount then Sterling reverses him and recovers top position. Sterling passes to mount and attempts an arm bar just as the bell rings. Close round!
Top MMA News scores the round 10-9 Mac Laursen

Round 2: Both fighters exchange in the centre of the cage. Mac lands a great side kick to Sterlings body prompting the fighters to clinch up against the cage. Sterling is landing knees to Mac’s body from the clinch at a decent clip. Mac starts retaliating with a series of knees of his own. Both fighters start landing short punches from the clinch in the centre of the cage. Mac works for a standing guillotine which looks really tight actually. Sterling was saved by the bell. Another close and action packed round.
Top MMA News scores the round 10-9 Sterling Michetti

Round 3: Sterling charges in with a flurry of punches. Sterling lands most of them and presses Mac up against the cage. Striking is pretty much even from the clinch this round with Mac spending more time with his back against the cage. Sterling manages to drag Mac to the mat then quickly passes to mount. From mount Sterling maintains top position well while landing the occasional body shots. Topmmanews scores the round 10-9 Sterling Michetti
Mac Laursen defeats Sterling Mitchetti by Unanimous Decision

I saw the fight going to Sterling but the fight was close. I think it came down to how tight the judges thought Mac’s standing guillotine was in the second round.

Lucas Greer vs. Troy Dunn
ref. Andy Social
Round 1: Troy takes Lucas down early with a body lock takedown and quickly passes to side control. From side control Troy transitions to the mounted crucifix then quickly submits Lucas with an Americana.
Troy Dunn submits Lucas Greer by Americana in Round 1, 0:37

Idriss Animashaun vs. Damien DiMarco
ref. Andy Social
Round 1: Damien throws a leg kick; Idriss catches it and takes him down to the mat. Idriss passes effortlessly to mount. In amateur fights here in Calgary strikes to the face of a grounded opponent are illegal so mount is usually not great idea! Idriss manages to secure top positions despite Damiens best attempts at bucking Idriss off. Idriss drops down for an arm bar from mount and gets the tap.
Idriss Animashuan submits Damien DiMarco by Arm Bar in Round 1, 2:08

If stoute is the same guy, he rapped, beaten, and tried to kill a 17 year old girl, then left her in a dumpster. Or something like that

Ya that’s the same Stoute. Promotions should stop using this guy. I remember watching a mini documentary on Stoute here on topmmanews, it was disturbing to see Stoute get that sort of attention. I also remember watching the documentary and Stoute was crying about how alive he feels in the cage…..like really who gives a fuck! I am sure that girl wishes she would have died. This parasite does not deserve any good publicity, when there are so many stories out there of fighters who deserve that sort of recognition for being good people with good intentions.

That was ten years ago he’s a changed man he was a dumb kid who hung around with the wrong people

  14. BlackHulk905 says:

Everybody, I see why you are outraged by any recognition or attention I get. I am a changed man and since I have been involved in MMA I have tried to shiw how much I have changed. I know how you all feel. I never talk shit. O am never on here replying to these comments. But if one person can stand up for me then who am I not to do so for myself.

I have never ever raped anyone. I have never used my penis as a weapon. I have never thrown a woman in a dumpster. My crime and involvement was as a party because I never did anything to stop it and I nevwr called the cops. I was a young adult selling drugs and following the wrong people. I will forever pay for that. That was over ten years ago and five years before I even got in to mixed martial arts.

I know you feel outraged. I know you are angry. But I can’t give up now even if I wanted to. I get up every day and pray for forgiveness and I am given it. Doesn’t mean I forget what is in my past but it helps me to shape a better future.

I can’t change my past but I can write a better future. Some of you may not accept that and that’s understandable. But your comments and hateful words will not stop me. I am sorry if Todd at 19-20yrs old has angered you and upset you. But Todd at 30yrs is doing all he can to make things better for others in and out of his life.

    thank you

  15. Donald Duck says:

What have you done relevant to your crime to help educate others or make restitution to the victim (or her family)?

This is a serious question – have you spoken to youth? Have you volunteered at homes/shelters? Do you work with young men to help them see how you misstepped so they can avoid being in the same situation?

I’m not asking to be a dick but to follow up on your statement of being a changed man.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 6 Thumb down 5

  16. BlackHulk905 says:

Thank you Donnie for asking that.

I actually work with at risk youth. Young kids, normally from broken homes or rough neighborhoods, who have had run ins with the police and the justice system. I educate them and provide free training and guidance. I present to them a better option then the ones they are given and help them if they choose to take the paths needed to avoid reoffending.

I volunteer at several different charity events a year. I also do public speaking and free martial arts seminars for children in group homes. I have worked with the Boys and Girls club and also I have taught Use Of Force to police officers and women who have been victims of domestic violence.

I have also applied for a Victim Reconciliation Program.

I do not talk about these or broadcast them on a public forum because I do not do it to look better or to convince others that I am changed. I do it because of what I have taken from society. I only wish to give back 10 times that. These acts are done in silence and humility. They are not done so they can be boasted about or put on display.

Thank you again for your question, Donnie.

  18. Prettyboy1996 says:

As a long time fan, I am glad you have taken the time to come out and discuss honestly your involvement. For years I have been hearing this rape accusation thrown around with no details of the prosecution’s evidence against you or what actually happened. I guess because a minor was involved the public was only given the charge and the conviction. Not enough to pass judgement for some but many did regardless. I would ignore the hate in arguments and tried to focus on your stats and fights but, now I can actually say something in arguments with the homies.
All you have to do is start winning again. The loyal few in BULKHULK Nation is already backing an underdog we don’t want to be backing a losing one LOL no more fights to decision get back to the TKO’s we love. Hulk hasn’t smash in over a year DAH FUCK :)
