Ricci, a protégé of Firas Zahabi and Tristar Gym, made it to the finals of TUF 16 before being defeated by show winner Colton Smith. “The Martian” then went 1-1 in the Octagon, defeating Colin Fletcher and dropping another decision to standout Myles Jury, before he was given his UFC pink slip. Since joining Titan FC in February of this year Ricci has finally shown what everyone was waiting to see, he finished Jorge Gurgel in the first round then most recently destroyed George Sotiropoulos over 3 rounds.

Yoshida has gone 6-1 since leaving the UFC and is currently ridding a 6 fight win streak which includes wins over the likes of Phil Baroni, Ferrid Kheder and Niko Puhakka. “Zenko” has an affiliation with Team Curran which allows him to get in some serious training with the boys in Chicago. A 9 year professional Yoshida has fought some of the sport’s toughest over the course of his career and looks to be making one last run, having never won a title in North America this may be his last chance to cement his name.

“Ricci vs. Yoshida” has been confirmed but the details of the card are still being nailed down. The card will take place at the end of October or early November, while the venue has not been set either the card should take place in Tampa, Florida.
