Luke Harris has announced that he will be fighting former UFCer Jared Hamman on October 11th at the World Series of Fighting 14.  Both fighters will be entering the bout with something to prove.

It will be Luke Harris’ first return to the cage since his stint on The Ultimate Fighter: Nations.  Harris will be looking resume his winning ways and erase the memory of his exhibition loss to Vik Grujic. Prior to that fight, Harris, 10-2 in his career, dominated Jason Zentgraf at MFC 37 where he submitted his opponent by a Neck Crank.

The Hayabusa fighter is looking forward to fighting a seven fight UFC veteran in Hamman stating,

“I’m really looking forward to this fight. Hamman is a great test and it is an honor to fight him. I’m at a point in my career that I only want big fights.”

Jared Hamman (13-6) will enter the bout looking to rebound from three consecutive UFC losses. Hamman fought his last seven bouts in the UFC going 2-5 with the organization. The Dynamix MMA fighter has scored big wins over CB Dolloway, Rodney Wallace, and Travis Wiuff and counts 10 knockouts or TKO’s among his 13 career victories.

The matchup joins the already announced headline bout of Ryan Ford versus Jake Shields as well as Stephen Beaumont vs. Jose Rodriguez and Roger Alves vs. David Swanson.

  4. Unless Luke can get a titanium jaw implant and master the rudimentary basics of the striking game, like keeping your hands up and chin tucked in, he has no chance of winning this fight.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 11 Thumb down 13

  5. TnT says:

Hammans chin has looked a little suspect in his last few fights. Trading punches throughout his career could be catching up with him

  6. I think this is a good matchup. Luke has a lot to prove and so does Hamman.

I still believe if Luke gets his hands on you, you are hitting the mat, and getting subbed. Usually in spectacular fashion.

To tell you the truth though, if Luke would ever get the knockout win, that would be a moment that would get me jumping out of my seat and yelling so loud the wife would be telling me to shut up.

This guy blows, saw him on TUF get smoked, not stand up at all.
