I’m told that Drayton Angus was arrested on outstanding warrants right after he weighed in yesterday and was able to post bail but has yet to arrive to the venue tonight.

I will update with more info as I have it.

Just got word that Drayton was not actually allowed to post bail as they felt he was a flight risk, he is still in jail and his bout against Graham Park is off the card.

  6. Congrats to the newly reinvented Chris Ade on his win with Neil The Beast Doty, even though I thought the fight was stopped too soon, it looked to me like Neil was weathering the perfect storm and about to pull the upset. Never the less you can hang your head up high Neil this is only a blip on your road to title contention!!

The fights were awesome. The venue not so much. This is my second unified card. The first was before the renovations. The sightlines last night were close to brutal. The dinner thing (which was there last time and i understand is to make money) pushes the GA seats further back, making it next to impossible to see any ground work unless you stood up. Both of my screens were obstructed. Had to pick the best of the worst views and i got there at 615 to stand in line.

I can deal with the not the best sightlines but the DJ was the absolute worst. The two guys running it definitely though we were there for them. Jumping up and down like they were at a rave. Playing music obnoxiously loud at all times. The announcer was talking and this guy is too into his own music to notice. Even still playing rave during the early fighters win interviews. Making the fighter/announcer impossible to hear.

May seem like a small complaint but made it hard to stay to the end.

Awesome to see Chris Ade get the win! He’s been around this sport for over 10yrs weathered allot of tough times and had allot if good ones too, great to see you pull off the win!

  9. Graham Weenk says:

@teamvelasquez, i hear ya, thats no small complaint, dj’s really can ruin shows…overly loud music makes you just want the show to end so you can hear yourself think again, that comment about blasting music during post fight interviews and while the announcer speaks is ridiculous. fire those clowns before the next show.

  10. Kellen Falt says:

I wasnt there, are the rumors true that Spisak called out Shane Campbell?

Thumb up 2 Thumb down 0

  11. Cody Rempel says:

Not exactly… apparently Shane Campbell didn’t shake Spisak’s hand after the fight and Spisak said it was a “bitch move” in his post fight interview.

Not sure exactly what happened at weigh ins but Spisak is intense leading up to fights, some guys just need to do that to get up for fights. I assume that didn’t sit well with Campbell and he wasn’t over it by the time the fight was over and didn’t want to shake hands.

  12. Robin Black says:

Cody in the Ade vs Doty PBP you used 54 words and 7 of them were either “huge” or “shots” (I included 1 “enormous” in that count).

According to my calculations that means 12.9% of the words you used in that description were “huge shots”.

    Loved it! :)

Also congrats to Chris Ade man well deserved.

  13. Cody Rempel says:

Every once in a while I’ll get stuck on a certain word during a play-by-play… I really need pick up a thesaurus or something!

The shots in that fight were huge though, I was shocked with Ade’s history of TKO and KO losses that he was able to survive the first shot of the fight… he looked sharp and showed a lot of heart!

    Well-loved! Thumb up 14 Thumb down 0

  14. Cosmo Kramer says:

So when Spisak didn’t shake Lee Gaudets hand at weigh ins, hes being “intense”, and when Shane doesn’t want to shake Spisaks hand after the fight, hes a “bitch”. I’d love to see this fight, Shane would KO him badly.

Shaolin , who is a top dog in K – 1, has dozens upon dozens of fights, held an mma title, is a mutiple champion in kickboxing and Muay Thai…wait what was that about Spisak?

  16. Gunner says:

just my opinion but spisak and Campbell did not fight so really who cames, and it is a call of who wants to be bad mouthed for not being polite after a fight and I was not there so who was inpolite and who cares.

    Well-loved! Thumb up 12 Thumb down 2

  17. shane Campbell says:

I didn’t shake Matt’s hand and he chose to call me out on the mike.
Calling me a bitch in front of 1400 people live and the thousands that ordered the stream.

His point was to publicly humiliate me.
So are you going to follow up or bitch out?

I have zero to win in that fight, but I’ll do it.

  18. Superfly Jimmi Snuka says:

Spisak is a wierd fucking guy. He raged out on Tim Shady at the weight ins then shoved him and started screaming about the “team he has behind him”.

Guy seems like a very insecure spaz.

    Shaolin by KO first round

  19. Im surprised Luke or Roger dont reign Spazak in and order him to conduct himself with honor and respect, especialy in public, as his insubordination reflects badly or their gym and the brand. I cant see Kru Lee Mein, a true gentle man and disciple of the Bushido code of honor allowing this weirdo to get away with his embarrassing outbursts and antics!

Thumb up 2 Thumb down 2

  20. Spizak vs Campbell is a bad matchup for Spizak imo

I don’t see Spizak taking this fight.
