    Well-loved! Thumb up 5 Thumb down 0

  2. Great for Quebec City and Halifax. Too bad for Saskatchewan as I thought they were going to pop their UFC cherry.

Really like that the UFC is talking to Ontario to try to make it easier to put on local shows.

  3. Boxer says:

    No mention of Edmonton.
Did Pat Reid really mess up that bad?
Nice one Akin for hiring this guy. I wonder how much money this guy has cost Edmonton in lost revenue, law suits and inflated costs.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 6 Thumb down 3

Our pro commission is moving forward at less than a snails pace. I’d be surprised to see any pro fights in Sask in 2014

  6. Jamon says:

Tom wright is an idiot, toronto and Montreal don’t sell out with jones and gsp yet they go back, people from Alberta constantly travel north America to watch but have been rewarded with 1 shitty card, surely to god they can work out the diffenrces with the ecc, and sell out rexall with Vegas prices in about 15 min, what a joke Halifax or Quebec city,

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 7 Thumb down 5

  7. Dark Knight says:

Every single show in Toronto and Montreal has sold out within minutes, probably because of the deep selection of hometown UFC fighters to choose from

Maybe Alberta needs to work on improving the quality of mma athletes, so the UFC can use local talent for a possible future show

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 1 Thumb down 10

  8. derek leblanc says:

I am very happy to see Halifax get a show. Halifax has the crowd and tickets will not last long as plenty of people in atlantic Canada make the trip to Montreal and Toronto. I am afraid to say but I think it will be the only time it will come to Halifax because the commission here is terrible. I want to buy the ticket for when Hunert Earle meets Dana White. Earle likes to go around thinking he is king shit and run the show his way and I would love to see him tell Dana what to do

    Well-loved! Thumb up 12 Thumb down 0

ha HAAA, that would be a hell of a thing to see! @ derek

  13. Jamon says:

15000 jones vs Gus 5000 short of sellout, no buzz at all in Toronto

The only one making up false stats from what they heard or were told is you. Guess you didn’t see it with your own two eyes, so you don’t know anything for a fact

  15. jamon says:

Last 2 gsp. Fights were 2000 and 5000 short of building capacity in montreal, we will see when they have a half empty bell centre who’s right. All these numbers are available on the world wide web, ya heard of that troll?

  16. IanHardie says:

Hope some local talent in Halifax gets an undercard opportunity. Hoping Gavin Tucker is all healed up, Mike Mallot would also be awesome to see.

  17. Dark Knight says:

Why then does the UFC continue to come back to these markets? These numbers are widely available? Where’s the proof they exist. Too bad you can’t hide your jealously or tears. Join those ignorant small market fans who boo whether the fight is standing or on the ground. You can’t troll with facts, truth and logic

  19. Cody Rempel says:

Yes very available… here are the results from a simple Google search for the last three Toronto events at the Air Canada Centre. The numbers are steadily declining… COME TO EDMONTON and we’ll sell out Rexall easily every time!

    UFC 140 – Toronto – 18,303 ($3.9 Million Gate)
    UFC 152 – Toronto – 16,800 ($1.9 Million Gate)
    UFC 165 – Toronto – 15,504 ($1.9 Million Gate)

  20. Boxer says:

Ask Pat Reid why the UFC isn’t coming to Edmonton.
He’ll probably blame it on the former commission, Andy, promoters, the ABC, Dana White, everthing except himself.
He would never admit to lying to the ABC about the pride rules, the pending lawsuits, name dropping everyone in the UFC that have no idea who he is, firing some of the best judges in the world, lying to everyone to cover his ass, sending gloves home with fighters. I’m sure there are lots of people out there that can add more to the list, lots more.
And for the two losers that gave me thumbs down on the above post…..nice to see you reading this Pat and Dave…

  21. jamon says:

I think there makeing a mistake noe taking advantage of hot market places in alberta, and saskatoon both have a a 18-35 demo with a large about of disposable income, willing to pay higher then market prices for events, have a look at stubhub and look at ticket prices in the edmonton market for any soldout concert and you will see my point.

Thumb up 2 Thumb down 1

  22. AMLECF says:

You mention Saskatoon but the main issue with SK is that they won’t get their sh*t together and get a cohesive commission in place and the province won’t even see pro mma til the end of the year at best.

Also too bad alberta got burned on another event

Thumb up 1 Thumb down 0

  23. Jamon says:

Has the UFC not done there own self commission before, I also say that tom wright should have had all these commish issues solved how long has he had this job? Too long
