TUF Nations Canada vs. Australia finally debuts next week and the UFC has already started putting the pieces together for the finale card and today the first match up was announced as Canada’s 5th ranked Bantamweight Mitch Gagnon will take on Tom Gorman. This match up was announced by Foxsports.com but has not been officially confirmed by the UFC.

Gagnon will enter this bout on a two fight win streak having submitted both Walel Watson and most recently Dustin Kimura in the first rounds. Gagnon’s octagon debut at UFC 149 may have been a third round submission loss to Bryan Caraway but he gained a “Fight of the Night” bonus for his performance. Most recently Gagnon was scheduled to face Alex Caceres at UFC Fight Night 33 but Visa issues forced him out of the December bout.

Gorman was a cast member of TUF 18 but was forced to withdraw after the elimination round due to a torn hamstring. The Des Moines, Iowa native hasn’t fought since November 2012 where he TKO’d Tom Ahrens in the second round. His two pro career losses came at the hands of UFC veterans L.C. Davis and Jared Downing.

The TUF Nations finales goes down April 16th a venue and location have not been revealed but it has been rumored the card could be held in Quebec City.
