UFC Headed to Quebec City for April 16 Event
Quebec City, Quebec will be the latest city in Canada to hold a UFC event as it will host The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale on April 16, 2014, according to a UFC source. The Quebec capital will join Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, and Vancouver as the sixth Canadian city to host a UFC card.
This event will be the culmination of the TUF Nations series which starts on January 15th. As usual, the Finale will feature the finalists from the series of fights on the TV series. The Quebec City card will have the TUF Nations Middleweight and Lightweight finalists. The card will be televised by Fox Sports 1 and Sportsnet.
Expected to be held at the Colisee Pepsi, the card will also feature TUF Nations coaches facing off as Kyle Noke faces Patrick Cote.
Cote (19-8) is unbeaten in the UFC since moving down to Welterweight with wins over Alessio Sakara by DQ and Bobby Voelker by Decision. After losing his first three fights in the UFC, Cote entered The Ultimate Fighter Season 4 and made the Finale where he lost to Travis Lutter. Since then, Cote has gone 6-4 in the UFC.
After winning his first three UFC bouts, Kyle Noke (20-6) has gone 1-2 in the UFC. In his last fight, Noke defeated Charlie Brenneman by TKO in the first round.
