Gotta love Bjorn’s reaction as Alvarez was announced the winner, turns and looks down to the ground shaking his head!

great fight could have gone either way but i’m pumped for Eddie..bjorn knew ufc wouldn’t sign eddie if he lost and bellator would have let him go if he lost too, great to see him pull out the w and essentially save his career! After all the shit Bellator pulled on him over the last year its great to see him win

    Well-loved! Thumb up 5 Thumb down 0

  5. I had Eddie winning. What a great fight. Amazing how a main event can save what was a very average card up until the final.

The Richman win was a fun fight, too.

Ya its very interesting….Eddie did win but now MUST defend agaist Chandler again. (as per his contract) and the more he keeps winning Bellitor can lock him down with a ‘belt’ clause? If he had lost he would have been releasted and Dana allready said they wouldn’t want him if he losses to Chandler again? So in my eyes he’s still in a bad spot…Win…and you get a belt and a win (the trilogy)but not where you want to be….lose…and chances are UFC don’t want you anyway? I don’t think this will end well for Eddie myself? I see him getting into it with Bellitor again before he ever leaves. Kinda feel for the guy? Just my thoughts?

  7. I think he should embrace his role as the Bellator champ. I think Alvarez would become an outside the Top 10 UFC LW. Be the big fish in the small pond.

@puck agreed, good for him to keep his career alive now but unfortunately is railroaded into playing out his career there most likely. The UFC is unquestionably the pinnacle of the sport but he may never get his shot to try his luck at the top of the sport, kinda like fedora only fedor chose not to fight at the highest level Eddie is forced into it by a shitty contract clause

Not sure why more fighters that are at Eddies level choose to stay with promotions that give him grief! One FC! In my opinion has the best bantamweight in the world bibiano Fernandez they pay better than the UFC and bellator! More fighters need to leave the UFC and start a new product of Mma! PRIDE all over again
