Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 9 Thumb down 7

  2. Shawn tweeted that there were 3,000 people at this event.

That is 2,000 more than when MMA Live was there with UFC champ Jon Jones.

If the numbers are true, congrats to the organizers!

    Well-loved! Thumb up 11 Thumb down 1

  3. I also heard that Ludlow was a killer. Very surprising to see House beat her.

Awesome event!!! Shawn did a fantastic job and congrats to woody and Chris Correction on MMA live stats though. Final count was over 3000 plus comps at JLC with Jones. My buddy Alex from Adrenaline has high respect for Shawn and he knows all the flakes in the industry. Congrats again to Shawn. Hope to see more great events with the PFC. I certainly will support them.

    Hi Tony,

Thanks for the kind words. I spoke with PFC president Jamie Champion after the event and he said capacity for the venue was 2500 so it was probably right around 2400. A very packed house for the inaugural PFC card.

It was a very well run and organized show. It’s nice to have a quality product back in Ontario.

  7. Alex Caporicci says:

Had a great time on my first trip to London. Great city with great fans! And it was fun to see Adrenaline for the first time too.

Every fighter stepped up and put on a great show.

Real war of attrition between Gross and Karkula and Karkula showed a lot of heart to pull out the decision. Close decision, but even if he lost, that might have been a defining moment in his career. Eveyone knows Gross has a heart of a champion and Karkula proved he has a lot of heart as well.

Horodecki was dominant, but Caraballo stepped up short notice and was great to deal with. Would love to see Caraballo fight some of the other 145s in our country.

Happy to see my good friend Woody pull out the win. I got to know Kyle’s camp a bit and they seem like great guys too, but I know how hard Woody worked and he deserved it.

Always enjoy the shows but they are sometimes tough to watch. As a matchmaker you need to work with both camps and 99.9% of the guys are great to deal with so as happy as you are to see a guy win, you’re upset that his opponent lost.

Thanks to Jamie Champion and the rest of the team for bringing me on board. It really was a great weekend in London. For their first show, they ran it very professionally, asked for advice when needed and everything they did on their own was extremely solid. Thats how its done right.

Fantastic job with the matchmaking, Alex. Every fight was competitive and exciting throughout the card. Jamie Champion was very complimentary of you when I spoke to him after the event. Kudos for putting together a solid main event after Dent’s injury.

  10. Alex Caporicci says:

Thanks Shawn. Much appreciated. Jamie was great to work with and Woody was a huge part of the matchmaking as well.

I have to give credit to Jason Dent for the main event as he called Caraballo after he got hurt. Known Jason for a long time, he’s a great guy and I know he really wanted this fight and felt bad when he got hurt.

This was a great event to watch live. All the fights were great and I would definitely be attending and willing to help out in any upcoming shows in Southern Ontario.

I hear you guys are planning for Mississauga next which would be great!! Hopefully we can keep building the MMA presence in Kitchener-Waterloo and have an event here in the next couple years.

Ludlow was hyped up by members of her own gym and looked good hitting pads, but when there is a another tough girl standing in front if her striking back, reality and truth sets in…quickly

  16. timmeh says:

Ludlow is from Adrenaline and they got killed at this event. They used to be nearly unbeatable but the rest of the gyms are catching up and passing them. Their best guys barely even train there from what I hear
