Provincial Fighting Championships Announces New Main Event and Co-Main Event

London, Ontario- Provincial Fighting Championships (PFC) is proud to officially announce the new main event of their debut event on October 26th at The Western Fair Agriplex in London, Ontario. Due to an injury to Jason Dent, Frank “The Tank” Caraballo will now take on Chris “The Polish Hammer” Horodecki.

Caraballo (12-5-0), who hails from Cleveland, is an electric fighter known more recently for his KO power, but also has five submission wins on his record. The two time Bellator veteran has won seven of his last eight fights and is looking to spoil the homecoming for London native Horodecki. Horodecki is fighting for the first time in his hometown of London and he will want nothing more than to give his family and friends a fight they won’t soon forget.

In the co-main event, London’s own Jesse ‘The Ghost’ Gross will take on BJJ phenom Mike Karkula in a featherweight battle. Gross (8-3-0) has won his last two fights, with the latest against the much heralded Tristan Johnson in Halifax; Johnson’s hometown. With a crowd pleasing style, Gross will bring his high energy style to face the technically skilled Karkula (5-0-0) who’s five wins have all come by first round submission. The main questions leading into this fight are if Gross can weather the storm in the first round or if he can’t finish it early can Karkula handle the pace over fifteen minutes?

Also on the card is an exciting fight between two lightweight prospects as Adam Assenza takes on Kyle Prepolec in another fight destined to be a stand-up war. Both fighters have been featured regularly in Ontario and this is a fight that has been brewing for years. Also featured on the card are local fighters Shannon Ludlow, Joel Paquette, Randa Markos, Malcolm Gordon and some of the province’s best talent.

The complete card is as follows:

[150] Chris Horodecki (London, ON) vs. Frank Caraballo (Cleveland, OH)
[145] Jesse Gross (London, ON) vs. Mike Karkula (Toronto, ON)
[155] Kyle Prepolec (Windsor, ON) vs. Adam Assenza (Burlington, ON)
[130] Shannon Ludlow (London, ON) vs. Lynell House (Edmonton, AB)
[160] Joel Paquette (Goderich, ON) vs. Hector Garcia (Kalamazoo, MI)
[135] Malcolm Gordon (London, ON) vs. Lloyd Reyes (Burlington, ON)
[135] Ryan Thomson (London, ON) vs. Darryl Marin (Kitchener, ON))
[265] Bryan Jordan (London, ON) vs. Garth Watkins (Burlington, ON)
[180] Kyle Stephenson (London, ON) vs. Woodrow James (Sarnia, ON)

It all goes down at The Western Fair Agriplex in London, Ontario on October 26th. Tickets start at $50 and are available at 1-888-SIMREN1 or PFC and the fighters thank Simren Entertainment, Addictive Tattoo, and Drive Time Canada for their generous sponsorship. The Official Hotel of PFC: Unrivaled is the Days Inn on 1100 Wellington Road South in London. Call 1-866-266-8266 to book your room for the event before they sell out!

Horodecki is suck a great guy got to chat a bunch with him after he won the title from Shady over a few beers.. Wish this awesome young dude much success and hopefully see him get some huge wins in the next couple months and get back to the top.. This sport takes so much from your life and for a guy like him to have given up so much of his “prime” young life already of being silly and enjoying ones self to continue to train and dedicate to this sport is a tremendous commitment. P.S. lets not ever let Sam try to do his own negotiations ever again

you’d think “Provincial Fighting Championships” would have some sort of Canadian Provincial Tournament of some sort, or at least more guys from other canadian provinces

Leeroy: Just like the rest of Canada is so willing to bring the Ontario fighters in? These guys and girls need an opportunity to fight. Great to see some Ontario fighters getting a chance this weekend.

Leeroy, I’m not sure you understand the term “Provincial”. When there’s a provincial championships for boxing, wrestling or anything else, it means it’s the championships for THAT province, not ALL provinces.
