UFC Releases Mike Ricci
Bad news today for Canadian Lightweight Mike Ricci (8-4) as he was given his UFC release following his Split Decision loss to Myles Jury at UFC 165, according to Yahoo Sports.
The Tristar fighter entered the UFC after a successful run on The Ultimate Fighter 16. On the show, Ricci won $25,000 for the Knockout of the Season and he made The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale. Unfortunately, Ricci lost the Finale to Colton Smith by Unanimous Decision.
Ricci was 1-2 in the UFC with his win coming against Colin Fletcher at UFC 158 in his hometown of Montreal, Quebec.

Hey man these guys are at the top of the sport. They not only have to win, they also have to be exciting. I think Mike will be back in the UFC.
Hot debate. What do you think?

I’m not so sure we”ll be seeing Mike fight again as after his first loss in Bellitor he talked about how it crushed him and how he almost quit? I would need to check but I think he is 1-3 in his last 4 pro fights (not including the house of course)so I wouldn’t be to shocked if this is the end for Mike. Nice guy, I hope not, but I do tend to agree with some poeple on here as he tends to let his oponent pick the pace and if he can’t counter what they are doing,he’s in trouble? Just my thoughts? And , unless he rattles off more wins than he has fights….I don’t see the UFC calling anytime soon? Thats just me though?
