Jesse Ronson Headed to the UFC
The UFC announced today that Adrenaline Training Center’s Jesse Ronson will make his UFC debut at UFC 165 in Toronto, Ontario. His opponent for the September 21st event will be Michel Prazeres.
Ronson (13-2) will face Prazeres in place of injured Canadian Mark Bocek. The invite to the number one show in the world is well deserved as “The Bodysnatcher” has won eight consecutive fights. In those eight fights, Ronson managed to become the Aggression Fighting Championship and AM Ford Fight Night Lightweight champion by beating Shane Campbell and Brad Causey, respectively. Ronson was also the first man to give Jason Saggo and Alex Ricci their first losses. Now, he will get to fight in front of his home province at UFC 165.
Michel Richard dos Prazeres (16-1) will be coming down to Lightweight to try to hand Ronson a loss in his UFC debut. In his sole UFC appearance, Prazeres lost a decision to Paulo Thiago. Prior to that fight, Prazeres won an incredible 16 consecutive bouts.
Ronson and Prazeres will be on the card which features a Light-Heavyweight title fight between Alexander Gustafsson and Jon Jones. Ronson’s teammate Chris Clements is also on the UFC 165 card.
