Loiseau vs. Grummet Added to Challenge MMA 2
Just days after David Loiseau was removed from the AFC 20 card in Calgary we finally have news as to where “The Crow” will land. First TVA Sports announced that Loiseau would be part of the Challenge MMA card going down August 17th, then Caleb Grummet put all the pieces together by announcing he would be Loiseau’s opponent.
“so it will be in august the 17th when all detail are met me and The ”Crow” David Loiseau will be playing in Montreal”
Loiseau, a TriStar original, was supposed to fight Mike Kent July 12 for AFC but when Kent pulled out due to injury many fighters were contacted to replace him and when the dust settled the man AFC chose was Marcus Vinicios, sadly the Calgary commission was not a fan of the match up and with no time to pursue a replacement the fight was called off. Luckily for Loiseau it didn’t take long for another offer to come own the pipeline and now “The Crow” will have another chance to dazzle his hometown crowd. Currently riding a 2 fight win streak over the likes of Leopoldo Serao and Chris McNally, “The Crow” will look to continue his winning ways and prove he is still one of Canada’s top Middleweights.
Grummet, a member of Bully Offensive Striking & Submissions, may be an American citizen but he has spent most of recent MMA career fighting Canadians in Canada. Just 1-3 in his last four bouts Grummet has faced some of Canada’s best Light Heavyweights including a submission loss to Peter Nolan and a gutsy 5 minute outing against Steve Bosse where he gave as good as he took for the entire first round before the a cut ended the tilt between rounds. Grummet’s last victory was an impressive submission win over Jason Boissonette at Wreck MMA’s Last Stand this past November.
Challenge MMA: Think Big goes down August 17th from the Pierre Charbonneau Centre in Montreal, Quebec. The card features some fantastic Canadian match ups including SFS FOTN king Jason Meisel taking on undefeated prospect and former member of the Canadian Judo Team Olivier Aubin-Mercier. Plus Canada’s 9th ranked Welterweight Alex Garcia will meet provincial rival and Bellator veteran Christ Franck.
