Knockout of the night: Trent House

Submission of the night: Noah Ali

Fight of the night: Owen Carr versus Brent Fryia

Mike O’Neill vs. Noah Ali
Round 1: Mike charges right in for a takedown but Noah locks in a guillotine and pulls guard. The guillotine looks tight but Mike doesn’t look like he is in trouble at all and Noah eventually give the choke up. Noah gets back up but Mike picks up and slams him down. Immediately after landing Noah locks in another guillotine choke and taps Mike out. Great finish!
Noah Ali submits Mike O’Neill by Guillotine Choke in Round 1, 1:45

Trent House vs. Brandon Shorter
Round 1: Trent is pumping out his jab and keeping Brandon at bay with it. Trent lands a nice uppercut and has yet to take any damage. Brandon lands a nice left hook but Trent’s work rate is just way higher.  I don’t know if he can keep this pace up or not. Both fighters are exchanging punches and leg kicks now in the second half of the round but Trent’s jab is still throwing off Brandon’s timing. Brendon lands a nice left hook, but Trent doesn’t seems to be phased at all. Trent’s pace definitely slowed up a bit  but he clearly won the round. Topmmanews scores the round 10-9 Trent House.

Round 2: Both fighters exchange leg kicks. Trent and Brandon land simultaneous jabs but then Trent follows up with a crushing right straight that drops Brandon. Trent pounces on Brandon and finishes the fight with a series of unanswered blows and referee Brian Beauchamp stops the fight.
Trent House defeats Brandon Shorter by TKO in Round 1, 0:36

Owen Carr vs. Brent Fryia

Round 1: Owen lands a nice left hook to the body and follows it up with a cracking right hook to Brent’s head then takes Brent down. Brent gets up quickly though and takes Owen down but then Owen sweeps Brent and stands up. Owen lands a nice high kick then shoots for a takedown. Brent defends the takedown and winds up in top position. Brent almost passes to half mount but then chooses to stand up. Brent drops Owen with a strike and jumps on top of him working for an arm bar. Owen escapes the arm bar attempt and winds up in top position inside Brent’s guard. Owen attempts a guillotine though but Brent escapes and takes top position. Brent circles to North South and locks up a D’arce choke but can’t roll Owen to finish the submission. Owen escapes just before the rounds ends. This was a close round! Topmmanews scores the round 10-9 Owen Carr

Round 2:  Owen lands a nice body kick then a hard kick that lands flush to Brent’s face. Owen takes down Brent and moves to half mount. From top position Owen is dropping a lot of elbows to Brent’s body. Brent recovers guard but Owen stacks him and lands a great right hand to Brent’s face. Owen passes to mount but Brent quickly recovers half guard.  Owen decides to get back up and lands a crushing knee to Brent’s body that clearly hurts him. Brent bends over and Owen grabs his neck and attempts a standing guillotine choke.  Brent drops down and Owen taps him with a front choke.

This was a great fight!
Owen Carr submits Brent Fryia by Front Choke in Round 2, 4:40

Matt Spisak vs. Matt Krayco
Round 1: Krayko lands a nice right hook that got Spisak’s attention.  Spisak looks a little hesitant after that hook and chooses to clinch up with Krayco. Spisak locks in a guillotine and Krayco walks up the cage and flips over Spisak to escape. Incredible! Krayco tries to lock in a guillotine of his own but Spisak escapes and then scores a takedown. When Krayco tries to walk up the cage Spisak almost takes Krayco’s back but Krayco escapes. Spisac is working hard for a takedown with Krayco’s back against the cage but Krayco is defending well. Eventually Spisak takes Krayco’s back with an arm under Krayco’s chin. Krayco tries to escape but Spisak eventually get both hooks in and forces the tap.

This was a fun fight. I thought Krayco had the advantage when they were striking but Spisak completly controlled Krayco with his superior grappling.
Matt Spisak submits Matt Krayco by Rear Naked Choke in Round 1, 3:35

Marcus Vinicious vs. Dia Grant
Round 1: Marcus is baiting Dia while showcasing his movement. When Dia charges in Marcus drops him but then lets him back up. Marcus is really controlling the distance with his movement. Dia shoots in for a single let and locks a leg up but Marcus escapes though and punishes Dia with some hard right hands from top position before letting him back up. Marcus is clearly toying with Dia. After letting him up Marcus lands a spinning hook kick that causes the crowd to erupt and stuns Dia. Dia shoots for a double leg but Marcus defends and winds up in mount. Dia rolls to his stomach and Marcus finishes him off with a rear naked choke.

Marcus is clearly an exceptional talent! I want to see him fight tougher competition for sure.
Marcus Vinicious submits Dia Grant by Rear Naked Choke in Round 1, 2:55

Corey Houston vs. Nathan Wilkins
Round 1: Nathan is throwing some kicks but Corey is easily avoiding them. Corey moves in with a left hook that lands and the fighters clinch up against the cage. Not a lot is happening so the referee breaks the fighters up.  Corey rushes in again but this time Nathan counters with a double leg takedown. Corey quickly throws his hips up for a triangle attempt and traps Nathan with it. After a quick adjustment Corey locks it up and forces Nathan to tap.
Corey Houston submits Nathan Wilkins by Triangle Choke in Round 1, 2:30

Zach Manywounds vs. Dusty Kramps
Round 1:  Zach opens up the action in the first round with a nice side kick that catches Dusty off guard and causes him to fall backwards. Dusty responds with a cracking side kick. Zach gets hit with a low blow that seriously drops him. The doctor is brought in and I overhear Zach claiming, “It feels like my balls are in my stomach.” Zach does not look good. The doctor told referee Adam Cheadle that there is clearly some trauma here and he stops the fight on the doctor’s recommendation.
The fight is ruled a No Contest by Doctor Stoppage due to an Unintentional Foul

Jared Silverthorn vs. Will Monzon
Round 1: Jared lands a nice high kick but Will responds with a great combination that drops Jared. Jared gets up and goes back on the offensive but Will hands are too much for Jared. Will is landing a lot of great punches and Jared is clearly out on his feet when referee Brian Beauchamp stops the fight.

Will showed off some serious power and speed in his hands. Really exciting fight to watch.
Will Monzon defeats Jared Silverthorn by TKO in Round 1, 0:45

You just hide behind commissions with incomplete medicals and fake injuries, dog. Make sure you’re sober when you accept fights. Your courage seems disappear by the next day…chump. How many months do you need to step up to me before you can think of a lame excuse to back out?

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 6 Thumb down 11

  2. Shane BTP Mountney says:

Lol…I dare you to fight Craig…I dare you…incomplete meds…lol…the only fight he had where commission denied his blood work day before weigh ins saying it was 2 days out of date when we had sent them in weeks before…they could have told us…the next day…but waited till day before weighins…and that was our infamous Ontario commission… And yes just like any other fighter in fight game Craig had put a small tear in his MCL 3 weeks before the cirkunov fight…grow up…put your real name here…contact fivestar…and sign on the dotted line chump!

  3. Inkdup says:

The vidoe replay I watched time and time again shows a knee to the left sweetspot …which is not a groin shot ….as you all surely know the left testicle is attatched directly to the bladder/kidney area …hence a shot to the area only an inch or two below the left hipbone feels much like a nut bump…but is clearly not. Try it guys …hit yourself gingerly below your right hipbone with a closed fist ….then do the same on the left….hence Brent…your phantom knee to the groin. Clearly this fight..and the last Carr fight shows that Owen is a top level fighter who is only getting better despite the paper record. And that I believe makes more than a few of you feel inadequate.
Great performance Owen!! I never back the wrong man.
All y’all haters can suck it!!!!

  4. From my point of view cage side it looked like a legal knee to Brent’s body. I didn’t think the blow would be controversial at the time or I would have commented on it in my write up.

The guys at Elite have helped Carr improve from fight to fight, and he puts in the hours. He’s improving, and like inkdup said that just rubs some people the wrong way. Hes a grinder and has heart in there, fun guy to watch and he will only get better.

It laughable having btp call out and act tough to anyone. You cry about your gf cheating on you and minutes later are saying how much you love her, you emotional pussy…those SSRI’s aren’t working too well

List of btp/wardog excuses and bs stories

    1. Starcencov knocks you cold on your face, to the red saving you from him beating you to death and wardog makes a story of being hit in the back of the head(the fight is on YouTube to see the non foul)
    2. They say how wardog rocked Hague with a knee, yet one second later, wardog is waking up face down in the cage. Yeah right…Hague was really rocked lol(again on YouTube for more proof)
    3. 90 secs of being unable to touch Rama and wardog is sucking wind, but then makes up a story to being Rama’s toughest strongest fight. Personal win in wardogs eyes…bs in reality
    4. Backed out of numerous fights blaming the commission for his incomplete meds as an excuse or just reneging on agreeing to fight. That commission excuse has been used many times before
    5. Claiming he’s injured, but then is scheduled to box only weeks later
    6. 0-2 in the boxing ring, but they will claim they should have won both fights against 2 of Canada’s top boxers. Ask any boxing professional who saw both those fights, they will all say he did not win a round in either…delusional

You middle aged men need to make sure you are clear headed, off the bar stool and sober before committing to fights and opening your big mouths, especially when you clearly can’t and haven’t backed it up…chumps

  7. MMA Fan says:

I find it odd that the only things you have posted about is personally trying to discredit Shane and Craig Mr.Slap.

I have followed Mr.Hudson’s career in the last 2 yrs and would say just like any other fighter at one time in they’re career has hand to pullout of one fight for an injury.

And let’s look at that fight for a sec, I believe it was against Misha Cirkunov.
From what we were told Craig suffered a knee injury 3 weeks prior to his fight.we wouldn’t allow him to train properly for a fight with a world class grappler such as Misha.

Being a predominant striker,Hudson wouldn’t be able to train the takedown defense needed, the conditioning needed or the cardiovascular needed.

After coming off of 2 loses taking short notice fights, do you a) keep training and hope for the best,b) keep training and don’t tell promoter till fight week leaving him with no options to find another opponent( which I’ve seen happen way to many times) or c) tell promoter day after and hope it gives him enough time to find a suitable replacement.

Now your right when you say Hudson was scheduled to box after this fight with Misha that was suppose to happen on Oct .26 in Freedom Fight I believe and his boxing match was scheduled for Dec.1.
That’s 5 weeks later plus being injured 3 weeks prior to the Cirkunov fight, that’s a total of 8 weeks.
BTW from what I understand Hudson’s boxing opponent backed out due to a neck injury and he ended up taking a short notice boxing match 2 weeks later.
So from the time of the injury till the time of him actually fighting was 10-11 weeks.

I personally think that Hudson made the right choice for once. You need to be 100% to fight a guy like Misha.

I’m going to rewatch the other fights you commented about and read and watch interviews to see if any of the other points you made are valid.

Or if your just being a douche publicly for personal reasons!

    Have a nice day:)

  8. MMA Fan says:

OK so I just watched Hudson’s last boxing match with Ali Monsour.

For those of you who don’t know who he is, he is the no1 contender for the Canadian Heavyweight Championship.

So apparently Hudson took this fight on a cpl days notice.
I watched this fight twice there is a knockdown scored against Hudson that was clearly a trip.

In the beginning of the fight the professional boxing analyst from the the fight network clearly have Monsour as the favorite but as the fight progresses they change their tune and by the end of the fight wonder if Hudson pulled out the win or at the very least a draw.

To put your point about no professional who saw these fights knows Hudson never won a rd.

Well the judges score was a majority decision. 40-36,38-38,and 39-37, and that’s with a 2 point rd. To Monsour for the alleged knockdown.

So if you look at it this way if there was no alleged knockdown.the scores change.40-36 becomes 39-37 Monsour, 38-38 becomes 39-37 Hudson and 39-37 becomes 38-38 and you have a draw.

So in this fight in all reality all 3 judges have said that Hudson won at the very least 1 rd. Or more against the no1 ranked heavyweight in Canada on a cpl days notice.

Just blew your boxing statement to shit.

Time to review his other fights.

  9. Backhand Slap says:

Wow, you really have an excuse or some sort of fictional story to tell with everything…even when you’re many screen names are exposed. Does anyone believe anything you say? It’s baffling how anybody can create an excuse to repeatedly being knocked out cold. Story telling should be your new forte because calling yourself a trainer/manager/fighting expert doesn’t fool anyone, judging from results.

Everyone sees a fight differently, but when judges in both boxing matches saw those fight as most other and I did, my statement is correct and you continue to escape from reality

You want respect and to change your credibility among the mma community, accept the actual results and learn to say “we lost that fight…fair and square”

  11. MMA Fan says:

I agree with you slap, that Hudson lost his boxing match fair and square.

My statement was only to disprove your statement about his last boxing match.

You said no professional that saw the fight thought that Hudson ever won a single rd.

Well apparently even with the knockdown scored one judge thought he won 2 RDS and one thought he won 1, so what’s your theory on this.

I have yet to review the other fights again but soon as I’m home I will.

And I will offer my honest opinion, if your right in what you say or not.
