BKB Walsh ground out a really tough one in 30 degree heat in the hottest venue I’ve ever been in.

12 driven fighters. Gave it everything they had. Hats off to them all.

Hats off to Neil and Sean and Alin and everyone at SCC. Great first show.

Special tip of the hat to Grants MMA. A lot of teams look for easy fights, these guys want their boys to have legit challenges in every fight.
In my humble opinion they will benefit greatly in the long haul. Grants will put some guys in the UFC in 2015 with this approach, I’d bet on it. Huge respect to this attitude. Its not 2008 anymore, there’s thousands of good fighters these days, fighting tough fights is the way to get there. Believe it.

Huge respect to Neelan, Ahmad, Neil, RG, Sean et all.

Really appreciate the chance to contribute.

    Cheers.

BTW I had Neelan 29-28 (the kid has mind-blowing talent!) but monstrous respect for Kyle Nelson for his heart and guts and his ability to own the 3rd round of the fight of the night.

He performed like a true Monster and he put himself in a position to win on the judges’ cards by being so tough and so game and so unbreakable.

ps. I am not a judge.

    2 Fantastic fighters!

I’m guessing some people have never been to any event in an arena during the summer. If you can control the outdoor temperature on a humid Toronto night, let me know how it’s done. 1 whiny person left and 999+ stayed having a great time. They should have more events in this heat to weed out the posers, frauds and those who don’t belong. I wonder if there are such type of people complaining at events in Brazil, Mexico or southern U.S. It was a successful event, well run and hopefully they go forward with the next show. I’m sure we will get to see even more of the talent and top Ontario fighters, many who are ranked nationally. I’m quite sure everyone else in attendance appreciated all the hard work and dedication put forth by those involved. Well done!

    Well-loved! Thumb up 11 Thumb down 1

  14. neil says:

hasslehoff you cant please them all.
thanks for sticking up for us.

funny enough, one of the UFC’s staff was there and he just worked the last event they did in brazil, he said the arena there was twice as hot as the arena on saturday.

either way, some people chose to overlook what we were attempting to do and what we accomplished and that was to bring grassroots MMA to toronto. We hopefully now have created something for local fighters to look forward to and 2 people’s negative opinions wont stop us from plugging away
there will always be something to improve on, we know next time its the heat in the venue … lol

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 5 Thumb down 3

  15. steve Y says:

It was hot as balls tho!!! There was fans, they just weren t plugged in. Come on Neil, next time, plug the fans in please! I was sweating like a hooker in church.

Yeah it was hot…but the beer was cold…and the fight were great…couldn’t have asked for anything better….great job Neil can’t wait for SCC 2

    Well-loved! Thumb up 8 Thumb down 2

  17. Congrats on putting on a successful show in the most difficult province to put on a successful MMA card (that allows MMA anyway).

Todd Stoute lost his perfect record but is still 1-0 in rape and sexual assault. how anyone can support this animal or even give him a chance to be in the public eye is beyond confusing to me. anyone who really knows him knows that there is a monster behind that smile.
