Shadey Yellowbird may be the best name in MMA.

I had Smith winning as well although the case could be made for either fighter… I think the difference in the end was the damage inflicted by Ries.
Hot debate. What do you think?

Isn’t Brent Haley guy one of Fords Team?
What’s up with that wouldn’t you think Ford would have like a fight farm not a GDUP punching bag.
Close ass fight as well, he was out to kill tonight and glad I was able to get the win, hate leaving it in the judges hands, he’s very durable fighter

Thanks to Sunny for having me work the show. I had a great time!
I felt that Teague won rounds one and three, although I can see how the judges scored round one to Cody because of Teague’s nose.
There also seemed to be an issue with the timekeeping in rounds 2 and 3. Round 2 seemed long and round 3 seemed short.

The second round definitely seemed way too long, Smith’s corner was timing it and informed me that they had round two timed at 6:00 and third round at 4:00… hopefully someone can get their hands on the footage.
It’s a shame that there’s controversy surrounding this fight as it was the clear winner for fight of the night as well as a contender for fight of the year!
I think Teague has a clear case for a no contest, especially because he ended the short third round in top control and the argument could be made that an extra minute of working from the top could have sealed the round for him or given him an opportunity to finish the fight!

I remember thinking damn this is a long round but i was enjoying it so much i didnt want it too stop. I also thought ries lost but it would all depend on how a judge scores damage.
though teague vs cody was a close fight at the end you had to give the nod to cody, he landed the cleaner shots, inflicted the heavyier damage as oposed to teague who relied soley on wild barroom swings which for the most part were blocked or missed the target.
Brent haley vs shady yellowbird would make a interesting fight.
Someone need to tell the Edmonton commission that the time keeper doesn’t need to keep track of time by counting on his fingers

I wonder if he fucked up both rounds or he just took a minute off the 3rd after realizing his error in the 2nd? My bet is he fucked up both rounds.
Thankyou for the war Cody Ries.. I had a fucking blast !

@ Dean Panas
You better watch what you say publicly or you’ll be banned from all events in Edmonton.
Look what happen to everyone else that pointed out obvious deficiencies with the ECSC.
