Nick Ring Meets Uriah Hall on Fox Sports 1 Debut
Canada’s top ranked Middleweight will meet TUF 17 favorite and runner up Uriah Hall when the UFC makes their return trip to Boston for the Fox Sports 1 debut card.
Ring, a member of Champion’s Creed MMA, will look to return to the win column after dropping a spilt decision to Chris Camozzi this past March at UFC 158. Prior to that lose “The Promise” had tasted success in the UFC’s Octagon going an impressive 3-1 with wins over TUF 11 winner Court McGee, Riki Fukuda and James Head.
Hall, a protégé of Tiger Schulmann, is a Bellator and World Combat League veteran who took the seventeenth season of The Ultimate Fighter by storm quickly becoming the odds on favorite after crushing Adam Cella with a devastating spinning hook kick that knocked Cella unconscious. After making it all the way to the finals, Hall was out wrestled and upset by Kelvin Gastelum. Prior to his stint on TUF, Hall was a mainstay of Ring of Combat where he faced the likes of Chris Weidman and Costas Philippou albeit in losing efforts.
The UFC makes their FOX Sports 1 debut from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on August 17th. The card will feature a Heavyweight clash between Allistair Overeem and Travis Browne as well as a Welterweight bout between Thiago Alves and Matt Brown.
