Date of Birth: Feb.19th 1983

City born in: Red Deer, Alberta

City currently residing in: Saskatoon, Sask.

First Job: picking chickens at a chicken farm just outside Saskatoon, when I was 14. You pick em from the coop, put em in a cage and ship em off to KFC lol.

Current Job: I’m a journeyperson steel fabricator/welder.

First Car: 1989 Chevrolet Beretta, sent a lot of chickens to slaughter to pay for that bad boy, it was totally worth it!

Current Car: 2001 Honda Civic (lame)

Favorite Movie of all time: Braveheart, Glatiator, recently- Djiango Unchained. Love every Will Ferrel movie.

Favorite TV Show: The Walking Dead, The Office my wife makes me watch reality show’s such as: Survivor and The Amazing Race so I guess I like those too

Favorite Band/Singer: Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine.

Nickname, and how you got it: “THE HURT” my buddies in high school just started calling me that, you could say cause I had a bit of a reputation of getting into hostile altercation’s with other’s

MMA Team/Camp: Alliance Martial Arts

MMA Titles Held: none yet, but I do see MFC Gold in my future!

Favorite UFC Fighter: Frankie Edgar, GSP and Cain Velasquez

MMA Inspirations/Mentor/Idol: All my teammates at Alliance (Tyson Steele, Adam Lorenz, and many more guys) and our Coach and leader Graham Weenk

First Martial Arts Memory: I took Karate when I was about 7 for a month. After one month, we didn’t even get to fight each other. I quit and joined wrestling. We got to fight each other on the first day! Never looked back.

First MMA Memory: On my first day at Alliance, Adam Lorenz choked me out with an arm triangle, and I was like wtf was that. Five months later we made our mma debuts together.

Greatest MMA Moment to Date: In my first MFC fight vs Novaes when I dropped him with the first punch of the the fight and I heard the crowd roar. It was an awesome feeling.  Even though I lost the fight I think I got to really show what I’m all about.

Toughest MMA Competitors Encountered: Jonates Novaes and Jorge Britto. I thought I had both guys finished in my fights with them but couldn’t put them away. Lesson learned, Brazilians are tough.

Most Memorable Finish: In my last MFC fight the North/Southern choke over Mukai, because the fight went exactly the way we planned, I train that choke over and over.

Cage or Ring: It doesn’t matter to me, once the fight starts it’s on! But I do think for live events a ring is better for spectators.

Embarrassing MMA Memory: when I failed to make weight against Samuel Guilliet.  It was very unprofessional of me. I felt very ashamed and embarrassed. I didn’t deserve to win that fight and I didn’t win.  Serves me right.

Favorite MMA Move (finish/strike): The Hurt-maker ( kinda like a haymaker but a little different) The Hurt-plex( kinda like a suplex)

Favorite Sport Outside of MMA: all other combat sports and football

Favorite Food: well after a fight I like to hit up a different fast food restaurant every day for a good week, not because I like it that much, but just cause I can.

Relationship status: Sorry Gossip Queen, but I’m engaged to a beautiful woman by the name of Amber, we’ve been together for over 9 years and been engaged for 4, close enough I say lol.
