Randy Turner to Face Adrian Woolley at Substance Cage Combat
Top MMA News has learned that Randy Turner will return to the cage against Adrian Woolley. The two will face off at Flyweight on the debut show for Substance Cage Combat in Toronto, Ontario on June 29, 2013.
Randy Turner (7-3), who lost quickly to Michael Banin at Wreck 2.0, claims to have been suffering with pneumonia in that Flyweight debut on March 28 in Gatineau, Quebec. Prior to that disappointing loss, Turner had won five fights in a row including wins over The Ultimate Fighter cast member BJ Ferguson and WAMMA’s Eric Perez.
Prior the Turner/Banin fight, Adrian Woolley (7-3) was calling out Randy Turner (check it out HERE) and now he will finally have his chance. “The Bully” will be coming into the bout with two consecutive split decision losses at Bantamweight to Nick Mamalis and Bo Harris. Woolley, who was the one time #1 ranked Bantamweight in Canada, will make his Flyweight debut in the fight.
When contacted about the fight, Woolley expressed relief at finally being able to fight at 125. “It’s been a long time coming. This is what I’ve been asking for all along,” said Woolley.
As for his thoughts on his opponent, Woolley is expecting a tough Turner on June 29th. “I believe Randy is one tough S.O.B. I really think his last fight didn’t show his true potential. I’m pumped!”
Fights are expected to be announced by Substance Cage Combat once approved by the Ontario Athletic Commission. Top MMA News will have all the announcements as they become known.
