What are the women getting paid? Other than Rousey I dont think the women should make as much as the men.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 8 Thumb down 9

  2. The girls don’t make as much as the men.

Tate got 28k for her loss. Would have got another 28k for the win.

Zingano made 7k to show and a 7k win bonus.

  3. Rousey made 45k and 45k for her win against Carmouche.

Carmouche made 12k in her loss.

Perez, I’d like some explanation of what seems like an awfully sexist comment.

How is that sexist?? He doesn’t think the women should be making as much as the men…. A lot of them don’t have the name or the following.

  6. Jerobe says:

If Rousey keeps snapping these girls arms up, she may prove to be a bigger draw than GSP in the next couple years.

Why should they? The technique isnt there. The speed or power isnt there. I dont have a problem with womens mma, Ill even watch Invicta but I dont want to watch them in the UFC.

Nobody knows who the fastest woman in the world is because she isnt even one of the 50 fastest people.

Rousey is gonna make the UFC a lot of money but the UFC has to find a way to make these women fights interesting. Not gonna be easy.

I agree the UFC payscale is retarded… an entry level contract for a bantamweight or featherweight is much less then an entry level contract for a middleweight or Light-heavy too!! its bullshit.

You think that’s all they get, what about locker room bonuses promotional tours etc… I bet Zigano made a lot more than 14k!!

Some things are better left unsaid. That is a retard comment!!!!

  11. EPerez says:

Why is it retarded? They dont compete on the same level.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 4 Thumb down 4

  12. Idolmaker says:

I shouldn’t have said that. You’re entitled to say it. I agree they don’t compete at the same level, but it needn’t have been said. This sport needs to move forward from the Neanderthal image it projects, and that type of comment is part of the equation.

  13. EPerez says:

Why doesnt it? If people are paying to watch they should get what they pay for.

The women have Invicta. How much better can it get for women’s mma? A show entirely devoted to women’s mma. The NHL doesnt jam women’s hockey on CBC every weekend.

It’s just my opinion that it doesn’t need to be a topic. I’m a pretty secure dude, and never feel threatened in any capacity by anyone. Whether it be gender specific race related or age. Don’t worry too much, the majority will likely side with you.
