I just got home from the event. Good fights and great show. It must be so hard to put together a good card with so many fighters pulling out. Props to Nick Castiglia and his crew.
I can also tell my grandkids one day that I saw Kyle Vivian fight. In our section, the over/under was if the fight would last a minute or not. I made a few bucks thanks to the 58s finish.

It is tremendously difficult to put on a show especially when many of the promoters work a full time day job.

Never got offered him know pfc talked to him but he was asking for too much. A lot of promoters don’t fly guys in first place so never crossed it, was offered Turner but was in talks for something else than got hurt. Just back in training now, but Banin from Edmonton where unified is and can sell tickets, I’m in driving distance and hold unifieds belt so on promoter side of things seems to make sense.

Hopefully someone comes out with another organization
BIG , BIG WIN FOR BANIN , CONGRATES !
WOOLEY WOULD CLEARLY BE THE BEST 125 ER IN CANADA IF SOMEONE WOULD STEP UP AND FIGHT EM AT 125 , SO IT SEEMS THAT THERE IS A SHORTAGE AT 125 OR A SHORTAGE OF FIGHTERS WHO WONT STEP IN THERE WITH THE BULLY AT 125 . A QUIK SUB BY BANIN IS VERY IMPRESSIVE ON TURNER BUT THE BULLY SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE WITH TURNER . BANIN HAS BIG BALLS AND I THINK AFTER THIS WIN , WOOLEY MIGHT HAVE A 125ER THAT HAS THE BALLS TO FIGHT EM !

So Banin clearly has the balls to fight Wooley…
Davis will accept a fight with Wooley…
*****Set up the fights- end the debate – get a damn Canadian 25r in the UFC.*****
Banin is fresh with no injuries from his 1 min with Turner so get that on the next local card now.

WOW BANIN IS GETTING MUCH LOVE QUICKLY , BUT WOULD LOVE TO SEE DAVIS FIGHT WOOLEY FIRST , BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW NOW , BANIN WOULD AND ITS JUST SEEMS 2 DAYS AGO WE WERE ALL LIKE WHO THE FUC- IS THIS BANIN DUDE AT 2-1 FIGHTING TURNER . JUST PROVES ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN A FIGHT . DONT COUNT TURNER OUT NEITHER , HE IS A FRIKING SOLDIER WHO JUST GOT CAUGHT , AND THAT HAPPENS SOMETIME.
And Bobby – I violently disagree that Wooley has to fight at 25 first before being considered the best FW.
Fighters move to different weights all the time and are considered contenders/champions before their first fight.
I acknowledge your point but I just think any well-informed constituent of Canadian MMA would rank Wooley #1.
Objectively speaking – Banin lacks the experience, among other things, to beat Wooley but Banin has proven that he his is an underdog that can never be counted out and clearly wants a real career as he doesn’t dodge fight…he deserves to be considered a contender. Beating Turner doesn’t make him the #1 FW though Bobby.

The rumor I heard is that pfc offered mike d. Woolley. mike asked how much they were offering and if w oolley could make 125. Then pfc match maker got back to him. So that tells tells me either woolley wanted to mutch money or couldnt make 125.
Hot debate. What do you think?

You are a total tool rumor.
1) Wooley just offered his entire purse to fight Turner.
2) He makes a great salary as a cop – money is not issue.
3) making 25 was never an issue in all his competitive years and never will be.
If you don’t know what you’re talking about its best to keep your mouth shut.
Hot debate. What do you think?

Chad, let’s not get violent :)
First of all I don’t mean this as a slight towards Adrian whatsover but this is a discussion so…
There is NO DOUBT Wooley is one of the most talented fighters at 135lbs in Canada, but Wooley hasn’t won a fight in nearly 3 years (33-34 months). He’s been fairly inactive having only fought twice since his win over Spence, both being very close and competitive losses, but still losses on his record. Both fights are from ’11, so Wooley hasn’t fought 1.5 years let alone won a fight.
Is he talented? YES
Is he a bad ass? YES
Do I think he beats any of the Flyweights that are currently ACTIVE? YES
Is he ACTIVE? unfortunately NO
Now from how top mma news has ranked guys in the past, they rank a guy only after he’s actually competed in the weight division. Wooley has not.
Also he is currently not ranked in any division, due to his inactivity. The last time he was ranked was April ’12 at #8, dropped off in October ranks due to inactivity.
Due to this, you can’t rank Wooley at Fly let alone #1.
Again no disrespect intended towards Adrian Wooley, he is a very talented fighter whom I wish to see compete soon and often, who in my opinion very likely would be the top Fly in Canada if he fights at Fly.

That’s also why I called it a rumor that’s just what I heard. I don’t know why pfc would scrap trying to put that fight on after mike asking those 2 questions. I want trying to insult anyone. Maybe woolley or mike can clarify why it didn’t happen
I hardly ever post but when I do, I sometimes get long winded. So….
Congratulations to Mr.Banin! Huge win and even bigger balls to step up last minute. Not to mention the last minute weight cut from what I understand to make the fight even happen at 125.
Randy will be back. He doesn’t strike me as a person that sits idle. Regroup.. come back stronger.
Mike Davis….You wanna fight? Here are my terms!
Weight: 125
Date: whenever
Place: where ever
Rds: 3-5 you pick
Title/non-title, makes no difference
Pay: 1 med reg with milk from Tim Hortons! That’s a $1.60 out here, but I’d do it for free!
what say you?
PS I agree with everything that Bobby Karimi has written and it’s all factual. However, I don’t care about rankings (never have, never will). I’m cool with not being ranked nor should I be until I compete at that weight.

Mike, this fight does make a lot of sense.
You want to get in the UFC and this fight can get you there.
Compiling w’s might eventually, but a big win over a guy that I know Shelby is very well aware of definitely will immediately.
All fights are a risk but this one has the maximum reward.
I hope it happens!

This the route that works in a 2013 landscape overpopulated by fighters with good records and getting worse. Get a win over someone else totally on Silva and Shelby’s radar.
Good luck to both guys if it happens it’ll be great.

I stayed away from this place for a week but as soon as I opened up the page on the train I just couldn’t stay out of the conversation. There must be something at least moderately wrong with a guy who just feels compelled to yap.
I briefly considered just making a character like that Duck does to avoid getting personally bashed. But fu#k that.
How you guys been?
I have “managed” Adrian from day one and no one from the PFC has ever contacted Woolley or I.
Thanks

You are wrong JJ. You don’t think Sean Pierson has had long chill conversations with Sean Shelby about Woolley? You don’t think Shelby did his research and is just waiting for Woolley to have one good fight at 25 and then bring him over?
When a guy beats a guy that they are looking at that way he takes his spot.
It’s exactly what we did to get Nick Denis in the UFC.
Do you have any inside knowledge or pesonal experience on this topic? I do. Do you have any expertise to shoot down mine?
