Sarah Kaufman Heading to the UFC
UFC president Dana White revealed to Fox Sports that Sarah Kaufman, Julie Kedzie, Amanda Nunes, and Germaine de Randamie are under contract to the UFC.
The foursome joins UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, Canadian Alexis Davis, Liz Carmouche, Miesha Tate, Cat Zingano, and Sara McMann in the UFC Women’s Bantamweight division.
A former Strikeforce champion, Victoria, British Columbia’s Sarah Kaufman remains one of the top female fighters in the world despite losing her title to Ronda Rousey in her last fight. Kaufman remains scheduled to fight Leslie Smith at Invicta 5 on April 5th and is expected to fulfill her Invicta fight obligation prior to fighting for the UFC.
White also said that the UFC intends to sign an additional five women to the 135 pound division in the future.
